Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate how pinealectomy and melatonin application affect elements metabolism in rat testicular tissue. Methods: carried out on 32 adult male Spraque-Dawley rats. Animals were divided into 4 equal groups. Group 1: Control, 2: Melatonin, 3: Pinealectomy, 4: Pinealectomy+Melatonin. 2 animals received daily 3mg/kg intraperitoneal (ip) supplementation for weeks. pineal glands 3 removed under general anesthesia. At the end applications, tissue samples taken from sacrificed Elemental determinations (µg/gram/tissue) performed using atomic emission method. Results: highest cobalt, molybdenum, nickel, manganese, phosphorus, sodium levels (p<0.001) lowest potassium obtained group (group 3) (p<0.001). Magnesium selenium values (p<0.001), higher pinealectomy+melatonin 4) than ingroup 1 (control) (melatonin) Testicular zinc 2, where administered, 3, which Conclusion: findings as a result show that significantly disrupts element rats, may have regulatory effect elemental metabolism.

Background In recent years, with the development of society, children's daily exposure to screen time has gradually increased. Screen and sedentary behavior have brought a host harms lives. The aim this study was explore effects on precocious puberty early development. Methods This is cross-sectional in school-based population. A total 3,560 children were recruited from Qufu City, Shandong province using multistage stratified cluster random sampling. All subjects had physical examination by professional pediatricians October 2019, investigated health questionnaires. Precocious defined as secondary sexual signs boys before 9 years or girls 8 years. calculated average weekdays weekend days, days. After adjusting for potential confounders, logistic regression used examine association between puberty. Results Sedentary risk factor (OR = 1.428, 95% CI 1.087–1.876) without adjustment. No significant found both boys. Conclusions Excessive associated an increased puberty, especially girls, while there no addition, further longitudinal investigations are needed determine causal relationship exposure,

In light of the recent evidence suggesting an increase in idiopathic central precocious puberty (ICPP) during COVID-19 pandemic, this study aimed to assess incidence newly diagnosed ICPP cases and compare differences demographic, anthropometric, clinical characteristics pre-pandemic pandemic. We conducted a retrospective at national reference pediatric endocrinology unit Portugal evaluate proportion referrals for (PP) and, within group, number before (group 1: January 2018 March 2020) pandemic 2: April 2020 June 2022). Additionally, we compared patients between two groups. Out 258 referred PP, 20 were with (19 girls one boy). Sixteen marking significant (16 vs. 4, p = 0.023), especially among girls. thelarche onset occurred earlier (6.9 7.3, decimal age (DA) years, 0.035). Despite challenges, prompt medical response was observed, shorter time from first visit treatment (DA - DA visit: 0.19 0.79 years; 0.015). No other parameters showed differences. Referrals PP not significantly higher than (144 904 114 758, > 0.05). This revealed four-fold diagnosis particularly Furthermore, earlier, raising question whether increased parental presence home contributed heightened awareness pubertal changes. challenges posed by terms follow-up, these results point efficient work that led initiation without delays, unlike pathologies, as mainly observed adults. Surprisingly, no body mass index factors may be involved. To substantiate findings uncover additional potential contributing development ICPP, more extensive research effort is warranted.
