In the context of dual-carbon, corporate green transformation, a significant measure effect Environmental Pollution Liability Insurance (EPLI), garners substantial attention in current research. By leveraging 2008 EPLI pilot policy as an exogenous event, this paper employs difference-in-difference model to scrutinize influence on transformation listed companies. We find that: (1) The actively promotes transformation. (2) policy’s impact is mediated through regional development and enterprise investment efficiency. (3) manifests asymmetric effects influenced by regional, industrial, enterprise-specific pollution levels, well government environmental concerns. (4) engenders enduring financial implications contributes governance information. This study beneficial enrich research system enterprises that provide suggestions for improving promoting enterprises.

Abstract With global climate change, environmental pollution and other problems becoming increasingly prominent, green finance has gradually become a powerful driver of development.
