HI grades were [for slight HI, 5.13, 1.48–17.86, 0.01); for severe 4.68, 1.29–17.04, 0.02)]. Mediation analysis revealed that NPAR had a 17.85% mediating effect on presbycusis.Moderate associated high-frequency in elderly significant relationship.

The inflammatory response holds paramount significance in the context of intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) and exhibits a robust correlation with mortality rates. Biological markers such as neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR), platelet-to-lymphocyte (PLR), lymphocyte-to-monocyte (LMR), systemic immune inflammation index (SII), (SIRI) play crucial roles influencing following ICH. This study aims to compare predictive efficacy NLR, PLR, LMR, SII, SIRI concerning risk intensive care unit (ICU) among critically ill patients Such comparison seeks elucidate their early warning capabilities management treatment

Background The combined effect of depression and nutritional-inflammatory status on mortality in the chronic kidney disease (CKD) population is unclear. Methods We prospectively analyzed 3,934 (weighted population: 22,611,423) CKD participants from National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (2007–2018). Depression were assessed with Patient Questionnaire 9 (PHQ-9) Advanced Lung Cancer Inflammation Index (ALI), respectively. Weighted multivariate COX regression models, restricted cubic splines (RCS) stratified analyses used to investigate association PHQ-9 scores ALI all-cause mortality. Results During a median follow-up 5.8 years (interquartile range 3.4–8.6 years), total 985 patients died (25.0%). Each point increase patient’s score increased risk by 4% (HR, 1.04; 95% CI, 1.02–1.06; p < 0.001), full adjusted model. However, an levels was associated decreased risk. HRs (95% CI) 0.76 (0.65–0.90), 0.70 (0.57–0.86), 0.51 (0.41–0.64) Q2, Q3, Q4 compared Q1 ALI, In addition, joint analysis showed that without higher reduced Namely, highest group (Q4) had lowest 0.32; 0.21–0.48). Furthermore, this consistent across all subgroups, no significant interaction found ( > 0.05 for interaction). Conclusion nationally representative sample US CKD, coexisting poorer nutrition-inflammation significantly

The hemoglobin-to-red blood cell distribution width ratio (HRR) is recognized as a novel prognostic biomarker; however, studies exploring its relationship with chronic kidney disease (CKD) are scarce. This study used data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey database 2005 to 2018. analysis included individuals aged ≥ 20 years who had complete HRR CKD data. Weighted univariate multivariate logistic regression analyses were assess association between prevalence. Additionally, restricted cubic spline subgroup conducted for further validation. Ultimately, 19,426 participants in this study. After adjusting confounders, revealed negative (OR = 0.35, 95% CI 0.22–0.56). In addition, linear CKD, higher levels of associated lower prevalence CKD. that was stronger male population. negatively adult population US. potential indicator assessing provides rationale personalized management.

Objectives Observational studies have identified an association between dried fruit intake and kidney function. However, these limitations such as vulnerability to confounders reverse causality bias. Therefore, this study aimed explore the potential causal relationship Methods A two-sample Mendelian randomization (MR) was conducted using a large-scale genome-wide dataset investigate function markers (blood urea nitrogen (BUN), creatinine (CR), uric acid (UA), cystatin C (CyC), hematuria, microalbuminuria). The main analytical method inverse variance weighting. In addition, we applied MR Egger weighted median assess robustness of results. Finally, Multivariate (MVMR) used estimate direct effect on markers. Results univariate analysis showed that increased associated with lower markers, including BUN ( β : −0.171, 95% confidence interval (CI): −0.239 −0.102, p = 1.063 × 10 −6 ), CR −0.205, CI: −0.311 −0.099, 1.455 −4 UA −0.317, −0.384 −0.249, 4.439 −20 CysC −0.323, 1.074 −11 ); however, it unrelated hematuria microalbuminuria. Causality persisted after performing MVMR analysis; addition alcohol consumption smoking exposure factors, for −0.296, −0.523 −0.068, 1.094 −2 ) −0.238, −0.465 −0.011, 4.024× weakened, while −0.038, −0.215 0.138, 6.698 −1 −0.431 0.046, 1.347 disappeared. Conclusion Increased (BUN, CR, UA, CysC) in absence consumption; disappeared presence consumption. These results provide promising avenue delaying course chronic disease.

Objectives This study aims to investigate the association of physical activity (PA) and sedentary behaviour (SB) with chronic kidney disease (CKD), illustrate whether inflammatory biomarkers play a mediating role. Design A cross-sectional study. Setting analysed data from National Health Nutrition Examination Survey 2007–2018. Participants total 27 808 participants aged 20–80 years old were enrolled in final analysis. Outcome measures PA SB self-reported by using Global Physical Activity Questionnaire. Inflammatory including neutrophil/lymphocyte ratio (NLR), platelet/lymphocyte (PLR) systemic immune inflammation index (SII) examined subjects’ peripheral blood samples. Estimated glomerular filtration rate <60 mL/min/1.73 m 2 was defined as CKD. Multivariable logistic regression medication model performed examine associations PA, Results associated CKD, 20% lower OR CKD compared inactive (p=0.002) 2% per 30 min moderate-to-vigorous increase (p=0.027). also significant 39% higher for high (p<0.001), 3% (p<0.001). Purpose: This study identified factors that identification of progression-predicting utility from steroid-sensitive nephrotic syndrome(SSNS) to steroid-dependent or frequently relapsing syndrome (SDNS/FRNS) in patients and developed a corresponding predictive model. Patients Methods: retrospective analyzed clinical data 756 aged 1 18 years, diagnosed with SSNS, who received treatment at the Department Nephrology, Children's Hospital Chongqing Medical University, between November 2007 May 2023. We shrinkage selection operator (LASSO) - logistic regression model, which was visualized using nomogram. The model's performance, validity, were evaluated through receiver operating characteristic curve analysis, confusion matrix, calibration plot, decision analysis. Results: platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR) as an independent risk factor for progression, odds (OR) 1.01 (95% confidence interval (CI) = 1.01– 1.01, p 0.009).
