Background Pharmacological treatment of behavioral and psychological symptoms dementia is limited benefit. The addition non-pharmacological interventions often essential for optimal symptom control. Music a viable way to help patients communicate improve their quality life. Objective This study aims find the most effective use music in busy ward. Methods 17 inpatients (aged 63–93 years) with clinical diagnosis Alzheimer's disease took part over five weeks. lyrics presented via free-field speakers were individualized personal preferences. Instruments (e.g., maracas) used some group sessions. We Neuropsychiatric Inventory Questionnaire (NPI-Q) Dementia Assessment Scales (MiDAS) evaluate patients’ behavior before after musical intervention. Results There was significant difference mean NPI-Q scores Specifically, Delusion, Motor Disturbances, Agitation significantly reduced accompanied by improvements Interest, Response, Enjoyment MiDAS items during specific intervals. Conclusions Clinical professionals can successfully deliver music-based intervention advanced manage short term. Music-based interventions’ inpatient wards must be further investigated as an economical personalized therapeutic tool dementia.

Background and Aim Despite the impact of dementia on close care relationships, accessible therapeutic services for people living with their partners remain scarce. Further, there is an increasing demand online services, highlighting need ongoing telehealth research. This study aimed to explore experiences informal formal following participation in a 10-week songwriting program. Methods The program included four duo six group sessions facilitated by music therapist. Post-program semi-structured interviews were analysed using thematic analysis. This scoping review aimed to explore the characteristics and outcomes of occupation-based interventions for people living with dementia their spousal caregivers relating positive aspects caregiving. A conceptualization caregiving was developed based on existing literature encompassing three domains – quality caregiver/care receiver relationship, meaning caregiver's role in daily life, feeling accomplishment. Arksey O'Malley's guidelines were used four databases searched identify studies discussing involving persons community that addressed at least one identified our conceptualization. After screening 1,560 articles, 18 articles included analysis. Three types (i.e. music therapy, reminiscence therapy a tailored activity program) components contributing caregiving: socializing outside dyad, producing tangible end products, education caregiver or dyad.
