Abstract Post-transcriptionally modified microRNA (miRNA), called isomiRs, expand the repertoire of transcripts that can leveraged for therapeutic targets and biological insights. However, expression isomiRs has not been characterized in metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD). Therefore, we assessed isomiR profile biopsies from 79 patients with MASLD modeled their potential role biology. MiRNAs represented 75% sequencing reads over 65% them were attributed to demonstrating higher diversity compared canonically annotated miRNAs. Differential machine-learning analyses used identify 173 associated severity 58 fibrosis score. Candidate target mRNAs identified each based on sequence complementarity. Using matched mRNA data, supported by data an independent study, proposed key dysregulated involved a selection 33 disease-associated pathways. Importantly, offered novel unique canonical miRNA, e.g. isomiR-122 targeting INSIG1 (insulin cholesterol metabolism), isomiR-21 HMGCS2 PPARA (PARR TGF-beta signaling). Our work advances knowledge regarding lays foundation identification. Highlights results provide comprehensive analysis (isomiRs) tissue. Machine learning whose is MASLD. Multi-omic uncovered regulatory mechanisms

Abstract This study aimed to perform a systematic review and meta-analysis on the hepatoprotective effects of naringin based pre-clinical evidence. A detailed literature search was performed using online databases such as Google Scholar, PubMed, Scopus, EMBASE. Based predefined inclusion exclusion criteria, 20 studies were considered for meta-analysis. The outcomes revealed that improved liver function by reducing elevated levels ALT, AST, GGT, LDH, ALP, bilirubin. It enzymatic non-enzymatic antioxidants, SOD, catalase, GSH, GST, GR, GPx (p < 0.05 all parameters), while LPO/MDA 0.05). NAR treatment also alleviated inflammatory mediators (IL-1β, IL-6, TNF-α, p 0.001 parameters; NF-κB, = 0.29) in various animal models injury. In addition, significantly reduced caspase-3 Bax/Bcl-2 ratio 0.05) compared control group. Furthermore, has normalised body weights disease demonstrate injury, via potent antioxidant anti-inflammatory mechanisms.

Obesity has emerged as a major public health challenge in the 21st century, contributing to rising prevalence of metabolic syndrome (MetS), cluster interrelated risk factors. These factors include obesity or abdominal obesity, type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), hypertension (HTN), and dyslipidaemia. In this review, we will explore important aspects regulation dynamics lipoprotein metabolism see how they underlie each these risks. Additionally, highlight role ferroptosis, an iron-dependent regulated cell death process, relation inflammatory responses its critical contribution pathophysiology MetS. inflammasome activation, lipotoxicity, influence adipocytokines, adipose tissue macrophages. Dehua County, located in Fujian Province, China, renowned as one of the major yam production areas, with cultivation history spanning over 600 years. It has successfully cultivated Qingfeng Ziyu yam, which have been recognized China's "Geographical Indications for Agricultural Products." However, no comprehensive studies conducted to evaluate their quality. This study meticulously utilized authentic material "Iron yam" benchmark, employing advanced techniques such high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), ultraviolet spectrophotometry, flame atomic absorption spectrometry systematically analyze nutritional hypoglycemic active components three distinct varieties. In order interpret data, descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, principal component analysis (PCA), partial least squares discriminant (PLS-DA), cluster multiple linear regression were applied. The results revealed significant variations concentrations various indicators across types. Correlation identified 65 pairs exceptionally strong correlations 39 statistically associations. Additionally, demonstrated Iron exhibited most favorable overall Notably, characterized by its high concentration compounds, emerged promising raw products, showcasing potential this field.

ABSTRACT Valproic acid (VPA) is a frequently prescribed treatment for many psychiatric disorders, particularly epilepsy. However, it has been associated with possible side effects including hepatotoxicity and neurotoxicity. The present study investigated the protective effect of vinpocetine (Vinpo) against VPA‐induced hippocampal neurotoxicity in rats. Vinpo (5 10 mg/kg/day; p.o) was given 14 days, with/without VPA (500 adult male Wistar showed marked increase hepatic MDA levels increased liver function enzymes as well decline serum total antioxidant capacity (TAC). Simultaneously, administration resulted significant reduction cAMP, cAMP response element binding protein (CREB), PI3K/AKT tissue hippocampus. These results were confirmed by histological degenerative changes both tissues. also dentate gyrus nuclear factor kappa (NF‐κB) immunoexpression Glial fibrillary acidic (GFAP) expression gyrus. Administration markedly attenuated toxicity rats its anti‐oxidant on TAC levels. cAMP/CREB hippocampus tissues, together decrease NF‐κB expression. ameliorated astrogliosis indicated GFAP. exerted hepatoprotective neuroprotective role dependent activation CREB this hold promise safe effective adjuvant while treating patients VPA.
