Codon usage bias is a prevalent phenomenon observed across various species and genes. However, the specific attributes of codon in mitochondrial genome Ganoderma remain unknown. In this study, we investigated 12 core protein-coding genes (PCGs) 9 species, including 13 strains. The codons all strains showed preference for ending A/T. Additionally, correlations between base composition adaptation index (CAI), (CBI) frequency optimal (FOP) were identified, demonstrating impact on bias. Various indicators found to vary or within strains, GC3s, CAI, CBI, FOP. The results also revealed that PCGs have an average effective number (ENC) lower than 35, indicating strong toward certain codons. Evidence from neutrality plot PR2-bias analysis indicates natural selection major factor affecting Ganoderma. 11 22 (ΔRSCU>0.08 RSCU>1) identified with GCA, AUC, UUC being most widely used By analyzing combined sequences relative synonymous (RSCU) values, genetic relationships determined, variations them. Nevertheless, RSCU-based illustrated intra- interspecies species. This study deepens our insight into characteristics, genetics, evolution important fungal group.

Polypore fungi are an important part of forest ecosystems. In the last decade, taxonomic status and species number polypore have changed greatly, many new taxa been discovered. China is one countries with most abundant diverse in world, a total 1,214 fungal were reported here. This study lists their diversity, status, habitats, geographical distributions, molecular data. All belong to phylum Basidiomycota, subphylum Agaricomycotina, class Agaricomycetes, including 11 orders, 55 families, 266 genera. The orders Polyporales Hymenochaetales dominant, families Polyporaceae Hymenochaetaceae dominant. overall distribution trend shows that more distributed south fewer north. addition, different nutritional modes preferences for host species, white-rot preferring angiosperm trees brown-rot gymnosperm trees.

Sanguinoderma infundibulare is a newly discovered species of Ganodermataceae known to have high medicinal and ecological values. In this study, the whole-genome sequencing comparative genomic analyses were conducted further understand Ganodermataceae's structural functional characteristics. Using Illumina NovaSeq PacBio Sequel platforms, 88 scaffolds assembled obtain 48.99-Mb high-quality genome S. infundibulare. A total 14,146 protein-coding genes annotated in whole genome, with 98.6% complete benchmarking universal single-copy orthologs (BUSCO) scores. Comparative among infundibulare, rugosum, Ganoderma lucidum, sinense determine their intergeneric differences. The 4 found share 4,011 orthogroups, 24 specific gene families detected genus Sanguinoderma. associated carbohydrate esterase significantly abundant, which was reported be involved hemicellulose degradation. Sanguinoderma (Ganodermataceae) is recognized as a valuable medicinal resource in Taiwan, China. Additionally, it serves traditional folk medicine for treating neurotic epilepsy Malaysia. This study involved the collection of six specimens from Yunnan Province, Employing multigene phylogenetic analysis DNA sequences, including internal transcribed spacer (ITS), nuclear large subunit (LSU), RNA polymerase II second largest (rpb2), translation elongation factor 1-alpha (tef1-α), mitochondrial small (mtSSU), (nSSU) and morphological examinations, three new species, viz. concentricum, S. dehongense ovisporum, are introduced. concentricum characterized by central stipe basidiomata, an orbicular to suborbicular pileus, grayish-yellow surface with alternating concentric zones wavy margin-like petals regular pileipellis cells (4–8 × 17–28 μm). long flabelliform dark-grayish yellow-to-dark-yellow pileus surface, irregular margin ellipsoid basidia (8–11 9–13 ovisporum reniform heterogeneous context ovoid basidiospores (7.5–8.6 5.5–7.2 µm).
