Chronic allergic skin conditions, including atopic dermatitis (AD), are characterized by pruritus, erythema, xerosis, desquamation, and inflammation, significantly impacting quality of life. Long-term steroid use, while common in treatment, carries the risk adverse effects. Previous studies have demonstrated potential Lactobacillus paracasei subsp. NTU 101 (NTU 101) alleviating AD symptoms from a preventive perspective. This study, however, focuses on exploring 101’s therapeutic investigating its effects regulatory T cell (Treg) maturation Th1/Th2 balance. The results revealed that administration effectively reduced serum IgE levels inflammatory infiltration skin, leading to significant improvement both epidermal dermal thickness model. Additionally, modulated immune response increasing proportion CD4+/IL-4+ (Th2) cells spleen concurrently enhancing FOXP3 expression CD4+/CD25+ cells, which is critical for Treg development. modulation was further associated with rebalancing ratio, achieved CD4+/IFN-γ+ (Th1) cells. ABSTRACT Rosacea is a chronic inflammatory skin condition marked by facial erythema, telangiectasia, and acne-like eruptions, affecting millions worldwide. While antibiotics remain common treatment, prolonged use has significant adverse effects can lead to antibiotic resistance. This study evaluated the impact of combined probiotics doxycycline treatment on rosacea, emphasizing gut–skin axis. Sixty rosacea patients were randomly assigned probiotic, placebo, or control groups. After 2-week participants underwent 3-month intervention with either no further treatment. Clinical outcomes assessed at baseline after 14-week intervention. Our results showed that probiotic administration improved conditions, alleviated inflammation, reduced microbiota diversity while enhancing gut heterogeneity. Multivariate analysis identified microbial markers distinguishing group from placebo groups, some associated health parameters. intervention, skin-associated taxa, such as Aquabacterium sp., UBA4096 sp. 1, 2, Yimella indica , decreased in abundance. Additionally, fecal was enriched specific microbes, including Streptococcus parasanguinis Erysipelatoclostridium ramosum Coprobacillus cateniformis showing abundance Bacteroides vulgatus . Therefore, this study aimed to evaluate effects safety of oral intake Latilactobacillus curvatus LB-P9 on Methods The was a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial involving participants (aged 18–60 years old) with mild moderate damage. Participants were randomly assigned test (receiving supplements) control placebo) groups, respectively. Efficacy assessed using measures luster, elasticity, participant satisfaction. Safety evaluations comprised physical examinations, vital sign measurements, laboratory tests, observation adverse reactions. Results Overall, 80 enrolled trial. Significant improvements observed satisfaction group compared group. In group, luster parameter increased by 1.65 ± 2.30 (L BNT ) at 24 weeks ( p < 0.001), indicating 19% improvement over Subgroup analysis revealed significant among females short hair.
