Involution of the bursa Fabricius (BF) with increasing age in avian species leads to decreases lymphocyte counts and pathogen recognition, thereby compromising immune function susceptibility infections. Polysaccharides Atractylodes macrocephala Koidz (PAMK), a major component traditional Chinese medicine macrocephala, increase immunity. This study aimed explore impact PAMK on BF during involution Magang geese. Following prefeeding period, 54 four-month-old geese were selected for experiment. These evenly divided into three groups. Each group consisted replicates, six per replicate. One was immediately euthanized collect serum samples. The remaining 36 further two groups: one maintained standard diet, other provided diet supplemented 400 mg/kg PAMK. month later, samples collected analysis. Morphological, organ index histological observations indicate that can alleviate significant reduction process mitigate disorder follicular arrangement decrease ratio cortical area medullary BF. Immunoglobulin oxidative stress results revealed levels immunoglobulins reduce involuting Functional enrichment analysis Wnt signaling pathway plays role alleviating Further cellular studies addition inhibited apoptosis promoted cell cycle progression S G2 phases. In summary, effectively mitigates by inhibiting pathway, enhancing humoral immunity improving antioxidant status.
