Delirium is an acute neurocognitive disorder marked by disruptions in attention, cognition, and awareness, particularly prevalent among older critically ill patients. This study applies a systems biology framework to dissect the molecular underpinnings of delirium evaluate natural compounds for potential therapeutic roles. Through bioinformatics analyses, key biomarkers related delirium, including IL6, AKT1, JUN, APP, PPARGC1A, were identified, implicating pathways tied neuroinflammation, oxidative stress, synaptic function. Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) mapped these biomarkers, revealing candidates that may modulate inflammatory metabolic processes central delirium. The highlights like melatonin, dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA), resveratrol, progesterone, paclitaxel provide multi-targeted approaches management. Findings underscore role integrating with conventional treatment address delirium's complex pathophysiology. research offers new insights into landscape introduces avenues novel, compound-based interventions.
