La neuromodulación no invasiva (NNI) engloba técnicas que modifican la actividad del sistema nervioso mediante estímulos externos, como campos eléctricos o magnéticos, sin requerir intervención quirúrgica. El objetivo fue analizar los avances recientes en NNI, proporcionando una base científica para el desarrollo de intervenciones profesionales más efectivas y personalizadas. metodología se empleó cualitativa, con un enfoque exploratorio-descriptivo basado revisión bibliográfica bases datos científicas Scielo, PubMed, Scopus Web of Science. Los resultados resaltan eficacia estimulación magnética transcraneal repetitiva (EMTR) corriente directa (TDCS) tratamiento diversas condiciones neurológicas cognitivas. Estas incluyen deterioro cognitivo post-ictus, depresión, fibromialgia dolor crónico. Además, estas solo mejoran calidad vida pacientes, sino también ofrecen terapéutico menos efectos secundarios comparación tratamientos farmacológicos tradicionales. Cabe mencionar existe necesidad continuar investigando optimizar protocolos profundizar entendimiento mecanismos subyacentes. En conclusión, NNI representa prometedora área intervención, potencial transformar enfoques terapéuticos disciplinas médicas, mejorando tanto pacientes a largo plazo.

Post-stroke depression (PSD) is one of the most common and devastating neuropsychiatric complications in stroke patients, affecting more than one-third survivors ischemic (IS). Despite its high incidence, PSD often overlooked or undertreated clinical practice, effective preventive measures therapeutic interventions remain limited. Although exact mechanisms are not fully understood, emerging evidence suggests that gut microbiota plays a key role regulating gut-brain communication. This has sparked great interest relationship between microbiota-gut-brain axis (MGBA) PSD, especially context cerebral ischemia. In addition to microbiota, another important factor barrier, which acts as frontline sensor distinguishing beneficial harmful microbes, inflammatory responses immunomodulation. Based on this, this paper proposes new approach, microbiota-immune-barrier axis, only closely related pathophysiology IS but may also play critical occurrence progression PSD. review aims systematically analyze how affects integrity function barrier after through immunomodulation, leading production exacerbation depressive symptoms addition, we will explore existing technologies can assess MGBA potential strategies for with hope providing insights future research interventions.
