In recent years, functional foods have gained attention for their potential health benefits beyond basic nutrition, serving as rich sources of proteins, carbohydrates, vitamins, and dietary fiber. Enriched with bioactive compounds such polyphenols, tannins, flavonoids, alkaloids, these shown promise in inhibiting cell signaling pathways related to proliferation, communication, apoptosis. Key components offer benefits. Omega-3 fatty acids scavenge free radicals, reducing the risk chronic diseases like heart disease cancer. Antioxidants sesame seed oil promote cardiovascular anti-inflammatory effects. Curcumin inhibits cancer by suppressing inflammatory cytokines. Understanding mechanisms action is crucial realizing therapeutic However, identifying suitable substances comprehending role prevention are challenging. As we enter food era, this review aims present current state nutraceuticals, exploring applications human wellness. Recognizing nutrition's individualized nature nutrition a central theme, emphasizing importance tailored recommendations based on diverse responses elements, ensuring that personalized approaches aligned individual goals.

The prediction of grain protein function is essential for the advancement food science. Traditional experimental methods are associated with high costs and significant time requirements. Computational recognized their efficiency reduced demands. A new multimodal deep learning method, MMSNet, proposed in this study, data four types grains (japonica, indica, maize, wheat) analyzed. This method fuses structure information predicted by AlphaFold2 combines a multiscale one-dimensional convolutional neural network (1DCNN) two-dimensional (2DCNN) to enable model capture sequence structural effectively. We used residual attention mechanism replace traditional pooling layer, thereby improving feature extraction capability layers 2DCNN. results indicate that secondary spatial contribute performance. Compared two classical methods, MMSNet demonstrates optimal performance, which validates effectiveness our approach integrating complex highlights its potential open avenues prediction.

The increasing demand for toxin-free food, driven by the rise in fast food consumption and changing dietary habits, necessitates advanced efficient detection methods to address potential risks associated with contaminated food. Nanomaterial-based have shown significant promise, particularly using metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) combined biomolecules. This review article provides an overview of recent advancements functionalized (FMOFs) biomolecules detect various contaminants, including heavy metals, antibiotics, pesticides, bacteria, mycotoxins other chemical contaminants. We discuss fundamental principles detecting evaluate existing analytical techniques, explore development biomacromolecule-functionalized MOF-based sensors encompassing colorimetric, optical, electrochemical, portable variants. also examines sensing mechanisms, uses FMOFs as signal probes carriers capture probes, assesses sensitivity. Additionally, we opportunities challenges producing biomacromolecules contaminant assessment. Future directions include improving sensor sensitivity specificity, developing more cost-effective production methods, integrating these technologies into real-world safety monitoring systems. work aims pave way innovative reliable solutions ensure our supply.
