Metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD) is increasingly prevalent, and systemic inflammation markers may play a role in its pathogenesis. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between neutrophil-albumin ratio (NAR) MAFLD. population-based was performed using data from NHANES 2017–2018 included 4526 individuals with median age of 44 years old, males account for 46.13% (n = 2088). Ultrasound-defined MAFLD diagnosed controlled attenuation parameter (CAP) threshold ≥ 285 dB/m. Differences baseline characteristics patients CAP dB/m < were analyzed. A generalized additive model (GAM) restricted cubic splines (RCS) applied explore nonlinear NAR CAP, followed by linear models (GLMs). Threshold effect analysis identify inflection point relationship. CAP-related variables ranked XG Boost random forest algorithms, predictive developed evaluated. The population 1,503 significantly elevated subjects (P 0.001), relationships observed. positively associated three GLMs, this remained after adjusting confounding factors or dividing into tertiles. Additionally, when 1.436, one-unit rise linked 3.304-fold increase risk NAFLD (OR 3.304, 95% CI: 2.649–4.122). NAR-based showed best performance AUC values 0.978 (training) 0.813 (validation). optimal predicting risk, highlighting importance

Background The neutrophil-percentage-to-albumin ratio (NPAR), as a low-cost and easily accessible inflammatory biomarker, has garnered considerable attention in various disease studies recent years. Specifically, existing research suggested significant correlation between NPAR diabetic retinopathy, indicating its potential relevance to complications. However, despite kidney (DKD) being complication that severely affects the quality of life patients, association prevalence DKD remains be elucidated. Therefore, this study aims explore link patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Methods We extracted complete data on neutrophil percentage, plasma albumin, serum creatinine, urine albumin-to-creatinine from National Health Nutrition Examination Survey database spanning 2009 2018. Multivariable logistic regression models were employed examine relationship levels DKD, conducted sensitivity tests, subsequently employing Generalized Additive Models combined smooth curve fitting methods relationships among variables. Then, subgroup analyses investigate changes across different subgroups. Finally, Receiver operating characteristic curves used assess predictive performance independent variable, NPAR, for dependent DKD. Results A total 2,263 participants enrolled cross-sectional study. After adjusting confounding factors, odds was 1.44 (95% CI: 1.08-1.90) second quartile group, 1.75 1.33-2.31) third 2.95 2.22-3.93) fourth group. Among mellitus, positive observed showed no differences populations. (ROC) analysis indicated had good Conclusion individuals T2DM. Additional large-scale prospective investigations may helpful corroborating these findings.

Background: Neutrophil-To-Albumin Ratio (NAR) is a novel inflammatory biomarker. However, the potential prognostic value of NAR in acute ischemic stroke (AIS) remains unclear. This study aimed to evaluate whether levels correlated with 3-month modified Rankin scale (mRS) patients AIS. Methods: AIS were included this retrospective study. was calculated as ratio absolute neutrophil count serum albumin level. Logistic regression analyses used investigate effect on mRS The predictive values NAR, level, and compared utilizing receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves. Moreover, subgroup interaction tests conducted consistency NAR’s prognosis. Results: Of 780 included, 403 (51.67%) had poor clinical outcome (mRS 3-6) at 3 months. independently functional after adjusting for confounders (Odds ratios (OR), 9.34; 95% confidence intervals (CI), 1.09 80.13; p =0.0417). Subgroup analysis showed relative consistent overall population results, no statistical interactions found subgroups (all > 0.05). ROC curve that prognosis-related cutoff 0.123, corresponding specificity sensitivity 53.55% 63.94%, respectively. When comparing power, (0.590; 95%CI 0.549–0.630) exhibited highest area under (AUC) neutrophils (0.584; 0.543–0.624) (0.540; 0.500–0.581). Conclusion: There positive relationship between outcomes patients, supporting readily available economic biomarker early identification Further studies are required validate utility NAR.

Neutrophil Percentage to Albumin Ratio is a new biomarker that measures inflammation severity and prognosis in many inflammatory diseases. Objectives: To systematically assess the role of neutrophil percentage albumin ratio predicting patient compared conventional biomarkers C-reactive protein procalcitonin, Methods: PRISMA guidelines were followed by electronic databases such as PubMed, Science Direct, Google Scholar using keywords including 'Neutrophil Ratio', 'inflammation', 'biomarkers' 'prognoses’ from 2014 2024. Some studies examined interaction between with systemic inflammation, immune dysfunction organ injury. Two aspects analysed comprehensively regarding comparison consideration age, baseline characteristics, comorbidity along evaluation spectrum various disorders. A total 99 taken into for initial screening, finally, 18 in-depth analysis. Results: The review showed significant correlation higher values organ, clinical deterioration. demonstrates accuracy evaluating classical markers, particularly critical conditions. Conclusions: It was concluded becomes ideal stable multiple measure overall prognosis. Utilization markers practice could lead improved recognition severe states
