Sleep disorders are common globally and linked to various adverse health outcomes, including cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, mental conditions. Emerging evidence suggests a potential role of serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D (25(OH)D) in regulating sleep. Individuals with prediabetes diabetes at an increased risk both vitamin deficiency sleep disorders, yet the relationship between these factors remains insufficiently studied. Utilizing data from UK Biobank, this study aims investigate association 25(OH)D concentrations individuals diabetes. We conducted cross-sectional 81,533 participants (mean age 59.6 [SD 7.1] years, comprising 41,275 males [50.6%] 40,278 females [49.4%]) followed by prospective 80,546 40,513 [50.3%] 40,033 [49.7%]) within same cohort, focusing on Baseline were categorized into four groups: severe (<25.0 nmol/L), moderate (25.0-50.0 insufficiency (50.0-75.0 sufficiency (≥75.0 nmol/L). Multivariable logistic regression Cox proportional hazards models used, adjusting for demographic, lifestyle, health-related confounders. Over average follow-up 12.8 we documented 2,704 cases found that higher significantly associated reduced disorder risk. In fully adjusted models, sufficient 48% (HR = 0.52; 95% CI: 0.41-0.65) 52% 0.48; 0.34-0.67). Subgroup analysis adequate improved especially people ≤60 years age, women, BMI≥30kg/m², those who had never smoked.
