The incidence of sporadic Alzheimer's disease (AD) is increasing in recent years. Studies have shown that addition to some genetic abnormalities, the majority AD patients has a history long-term exposure risk factors. Neuroendocrine related factors been proved be strongly associated with AD. Long-term hormone disorder can direct detrimental effect on brain by producing an AD-like pathology and result cognitive decline impairing neuronal metabolism, plasticity survival. Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) may regulate complex process endocrine disorders, improve metabolic as well resulting neuroinflammation oxidative damage through variety pathways. TCM unique therapeutic advantages treating early intervention AD-related neuroendocrine disorders preventing decline. This paper reviewed relationship between treatment its mechanism. pending problems was also discussed, new insights for dementia future provided.

Depression is a psychiatric disorder and the treatment of depression an urgent problem that need to be solved. Gastrodin (GAS) Traditional Chinese Medicine from orchid used for neurological diseases, including depressive disorders. To assess effect GAS on gut microbiota mice, we established chronic unpredictable mild stress (CUMS)-induced mouse model, was administered one group mice. Animal behavior experiments were detect depressive-like behaviors, 16 S rRNA gene analysis applied each group. All raw sequences deposited in NCBI Sequence Read Archive under accession number SRP491061. significantly improved behaviors as well diversity abundance microbiota. The CUMS-GAS different degrees compared with CUMS linear discriminant (LDA) showed makeup mice changed dramatically group, Bacteroides (LDA = 3.94, P < 0.05) enriched at genus level. In comparison had greater concentration numbers Lactobacillus, Corynebacterium, Staphylococcus, Bacteroides, Psychrobacter, Alistipes. Our results suggested impacted microbial composition gut. research indicated dysbiosis may affected by treatment, which CUMS-induced model depression.

Alzheimer's disease is characterized by abnormal β-amyloid and tau accumulation, mitochondrial dysfunction, oxidative stress, synaptic dysfunction. Here, we aimed to assess the mechanisms signalling pathways in neuroprotective effect of gastrodin, a phenolic glycoside, on murine neuroblastoma N2a cells expressing human Swedish mutant APP (N2a/APP). We found that gastrodin increased levels presynaptic-SNAP, synaptophysin, postsynaptic-PSD95 reduced phospho-tau Ser396, Aβ

Abstract Achilles tendinopathy (AT) is an injury caused by overuse of the tendon or sudden force on tendon, with a considerable inflammatory infiltrate. As progresses, inflammation and factors affect remodeling extracellular matrix (ECM) tendon. Gastrodin(Gas), main active ingredient Astrodia has anti‐inflammatory, antioxidant, anti‐apoptotic properties. The small intestinal submucosa (SIS) naturally decellularized matrix(dECM)material high content growth as well good biocompatibility. However, reparative effects SIS Gas their underlying mechanisms remain unknown. Here, it found that hydrogel loaded gastrodin restored mechanical strength facilitated ECM remodeling, ordered collagen arrangement promoting translocation protein synthesis. It also decreases expression reduces infiltration cells inhibiting NF‐κB signaling pathway. believed through further research, + may be used in future for treatment other disorders.

Being isolated from the peripheral system by blood–brain barrier, brain has long been considered a completely impervious tissue. However, recent findings show that gut microbiome (GM) influences gastrointestinal and disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease (AD). Despite several hypotheses, neuroinflammation, tau hyperphosphorylation, amyloid plaques, neurofibrillary tangles, oxidative stress, being proposed to explain origin progression of AD, pathogenesis remains incompletely understood. Epigenetic, molecular, pathological studies suggest GM AD development have endeavored find predictive, sensitive, non-invasive, accurate biomarkers for early diagnosis monitoring progression. Given growing interest in involvement current research endeavors identify prospective both preclinical clinical diagnoses, well targeted therapy techniques. Here, we discuss most on changes microbiome-based biomarkers, diagnostic uses, approaches. Furthermore, addressed herbal components, which could provide new venue research.
