Several studies have reported the efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) for central serous chorioretinopathy (CSC), while some ophthalmologists are concerned that TCM may be a risk factor CSC as chinese herbs contain hormonal ingredients. This study aimed to evaluate and safety in treating patients with CSC. Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) observational were searched up July 10, 2023 on following biological databases without language publication time restrictions: PubMed, Ovid Medline, Embase, Cochrane Library, The National Knowledge Infrastructure Database (CNKI), Technology Periodical (VIP), Wanfang, Biomedical Literature Service System (SinoMed). Review Manager V.5.4.1 Stata 14 software used data analysis. Finally, thirty-eight finally included including 23 RCTs 15 cohort studies. meta-analysis showed compared routine treatment alone, combination can not only reduce recurrence rate (OR = 0.29, 95% CI: 0.21,0.40; I2 0%) retinal thickness (CRT) (MD - 35.63, 45.96,-25.30; 89%) CSC, but improve patients' best corrected visual acuity (BCVA) (SMD 0.86, 0.62,1.11; 77%); additionally, it has no obvious side effects 0.72, 0.39,1.34; 10%). Overall, this shows use does increase recurrence; contrary, BCVA CRT conventional treatment.

Diabetic cardiomyopathy (DCM) is a myocardial-specific microvascular disease caused by diabetes that affects the structure and function of heart considered to be leading cause morbidity death in patients with diabetes. Currently, there no specific treatment or preventive drug for DCM, an urgent need develop new drugs treat DCM. Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) has rich experience its characteristics multi-target, multi-pathway, multi-component, few side effects can effectively deal complexity long-term nature Growing evidence suggests myocardial fibrosis, inflammation, oxidative stress, apoptosis, cardiac hypertrophy, advanced glycation end product deposition were main pathologic mechanisms According pathological mechanism this study revealed potential metabolites prescriptions TCM against DCM from perspective signaling pathways. The results showed TGF-β/Smad, NF-κB, PI3K/AKT, Nrf2, AMPK, NLRP3, Wnt/β-catenin pathways key aim was summarize update screen targets candidates provide ideas more experimental clinical use

Background Diabetic retinopathy (DR), one of the most common complications diabetes, severely impacts patients’ quality life. The combined use traditional Chinese medicines Astragalus, Fructus ligustris, and Cornus officinalis has yielded considerable therapeutic effects in clinical DR treatment. Methods In this study, a multimodule framework (BNM) encompassing bioinformatics, network pharmacology, machine learning (ML) based on molecular fingerprints was innovatively developed to thoroughly investigate mechanisms medicine treating DR. Results A total 40 active components 12 core targets were identified. Enrichment analysis identified key pathways such as VEGF signaling pathway, TNF pathway HIF-1 pathway. Prediction models using targets, PPARG, constructed from GEO database validated via immune infiltration docking, revealing that PPARG may be potential target for Moreover, component medicine, stigmasterol, ML model fingerprints. vivo experiments demonstrated stigmasterol can regulate glucose lipid metabolism, improve systemic inflammatory levels, ameliorate ocular vascular changes by modulating expression PPARG. Conclusion BNM suggests an important treatment DR, with its mechanism potentially related VEGF/VEGFR
