In recent years, the incidence of neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s Huntington’s and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, has shown a steadily rising trend, which posed major challenge to global public health. Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), with its multi-component multi-target characteristics, offers promising approach for treatment diseases. However, it is difficult comprehensively elucidate complex mechanisms underlying TCM formulations. As an emerging systems biology approach, network pharmacology provided crucial tool uncovering through high-throughput technologies, molecular docking, analysis. This paper reviews advancements in application treating diseases TCM, analyzes current status relevant databases technological methods, discusses limitations research, proposes future directions promote modernization development precision medicine. Exposure to patulin (PAT) poses a significant health risk animals, emphasizing the need for natural, safe substances mitigate toxicity. Acremonium terricola culture (ATC), fungal fermentation-derived feed additive, is known its antioxidant properties, yet potential alleviate mycotoxin-induced toxicity remains largely uninvestigated. In this study, ethanol extracts from ATC (EEAT) were prepared with total phenolic content of 67.9 mg GAE/g and flavonoid 32.7 RE/g. Ultra-high performance liquid chromatography coupled tandem mass spectrometry (UPLC-ESI-MS/MS) analysis was employed investigate bioactive components in EEAT. PAT-exposed Caenorhabditis elegans models, EEAT treatment significantly enhanced locomotory capacity elevated enzyme activities by 63.1% (SOD) 90.1% (GSH-ST), respectively. Molecular docking revealed that key active compounds EEAT, such as coumarin, succinic acid, trigonelline, exhibited effective binding affinities targets SIR-2.1 DAF-2. Notably, coumarin trigonelline most alleviating PAT toxicity, evidenced rescued locomotor rates oxidative impairment C. elegans. Our findings not only elucidate molecular basis EEAT-mediated mitigation but also establish A. sustainable antioxidant.
