Abstract A number of pharmaceuticals, including antidepressants and antiepileptics, have a strong correlation with suicide risk. However few studies based on real-world data been published. This study aims to investigates the between certain pharmaceuticals risk suicidal ideation or self-injurious behavior. Utilizing FDA Adverse Event Reporting System (FAERS) database, we conducted an analysis identify drugs linked these adverse outcomes, employing High-Level Term (HLT) classification from MedDRA dictionary. By assessing reporting intensity HLT "suicidal behavior" its Preferred Terms (PTs) across various drug categories Odds Ratio (ROR) Proportional (PRR), pinpointed top 20 medications highest association. These included sedative-hypnotics, antidepressants, antipsychotics, antiepileptic drugs, antihypertensives, antipyretics/analgesics, antihyperglycemics. Ranking by ROR, strongest association were alprazolam, zolpidem, bupropion, quetiapine, fluoxetine. A number of pharmaceuticals, including antidepressants and antiepileptics, have a strong correlation with suicide risk. However, it is not entirely clear which these medications are more strongly associated suicide-related behaviors. This study aims to elucidate the drugs responsible for drug-associated suicidal ideation or self-injurious, recognizing severe consequences such outcomes. specific higher levels behavior. Real-world data from FDA adverse event reporting system database were analyzed identify correlated self-injurious. The intensity High-Level Term "suicidal self-injurious behavior" its Preferred Terms across distinct categories was assessed using Reporting Odds Ratio (ROR) Proportional (PRR). We identified top 20 highest frequencies, spanning sedative-hypnotics, antidepressants, antipsychotics, antihypertensives, antipyretic/analgesic drugs, antihyperglycemic drugs. Ranking according ROR, five ROR values related alprazolam, zolpidem, amphetamine, quetiapine, fluoxetine. Further analysis showed that events frequently reported in females. Antiepileptics had frequency 51–55 year age group, compared 16–20 years 46–50 sedative-hypnotics. Our provides valuable information clinical drug selection by presenting potential list medication classes commonly observed large reports duloxetine relatively few attempts. Acetaminophen amlodipine substantial completed suicides, but may be drug-induced On other hand, some mentioned this study, as aripiprazole, lamotrigine, recommended used after assessing risk level patients.

This study aimed to systematically and scientifically investigate the potential associations between use of fluoroquinolone antibiotics (ciprofloxacin, levofloxacin, moxifloxacin, ofloxacin, norfloxacin, delafloxacin) suicidal thoughts behaviors using data from Food Drug Administration Adverse Event Reporting System (FAERS) database. The FAERS database was queried first quarter 2004 fourth 2023. Disproportionality analysis conducted reporting odds ratio (ROR) empirical Bayes geometric mean (EBGM). A total 737 cases associated with fluoroquinolones (FQs) were reported in during period. Overall, FQs did not demonstrate a disproportionate increase overall (ROR: 0.74, 95% CI: 0.69-0.79, P < 0.001; EBGM05: 0.69). Stratified analyses revealed no safety signals for either females or males. However, subgroup by age groups demonstrated slightly elevated RORs <18 years group 1.51, 1.05-2.19, = 0.03) 18-24 2.31, 1.75-3.06, 0.001), although EBGM05s values remained below two both populations. No significant observed other groups. does indicate an signal at present. Aspergillus flavus is an opportunistic pathogenic fungus that causes invasive aspergillosis in humans. Due to the limited variety and quantity of clinical antifungal drugs their adverse effects, development new broad-spectrum urgently required. Our preliminary research showed sodium houttuyfonate (SNH) was efficacious against A. fumigatus infection, but its effects remain unknown. In this study, we used microdilution broth susceptibility method determine activities four SNH 12 strains, vitro . To confirm therapeutic effect on established a mouse model pulmonary (IPA) with nasal drip method. All strains tested were resistant fluconazole sensitive itraconazole, voriconazole, amphotericin B. The minimum inhibitory concentration inhibit growth 90% cells (MIC90) test 64–128 μg/mL. After IPA treated SNH, expression genes encoding interleukin 6 (IL-6), IL-1β, tumor necrosis factor α significantly reduced. also reduced fungal load lung, extent pathological damage, neutrophil/lymphocyte ratio blood. These findings indicated potential utility treatment infections.
