Kohlrabi is an important swollen-stem cabbage variety belonging to the Brassicaceae family. However, few complete chloroplast genome sequences of this genus have been reported. Here, a with quadripartite cycle 153,364 bp was obtained. A total 132 genes were identified, including 87 protein-coding genes, 37 transfer RNA and eight ribosomal genes. The base composition analysis showed that overall GC content 36.36% sequence. Relative synonymous codon usage frequency (RSCU) most codons values greater than 1 ended or U, while less C G. Thirty-five scattered repeats identified them distributed in large single-copy (LSC) region. 290 simple sequence (SSRs) found 188 LSC Phylogenetic relationship five Brassica oleracea subspecies clustered into one group kohlrabi closely related B. var. botrytis. Our results provide basis for understanding chloroplast-dependent metabolic studies new insight polyploidization species.

Abstract This study provides an in-depth analysis of the chloroplast genomes two Cornus species, Cornus sanguinea L. and sericea L., which are significant both in ornamental horticulture traditional medicine. These species were collected from Botanical Garden VILAR, providing a unique geographic context for genetic examination. Our results indicated that plastomes have typical quadripartite structure DNA, with slight variations size Large Single Copy (LSC) Small (SSC) regions compared to other species. The complete genome C. was 158 244 663 bp, respectively. A total 131 genes, including 86 protein-coding 37 tRNA 8 rRNA genes found. highlighted role simple sequence repeats (SSRs) genomic differentiation, notable absence tetra-, penta-, hexa-nucleotide studied genomes. aspect could be vital understanding differentiation evolution within genus. Phylogenetic analyses placed broader clade Cornaceae reflected their close relationship family. Overall, our new data about features cp adds valuable information on sanguinea, is necessary further studies.
