This article explores how podcasters address their invisible—and thus imagined—audience. Based on in-depth interviews, we examine different ways of imagining the listener evoke specific strategies addressivity and analyze connection between these imaginaries concept intimacy as understood performed by podcasters. We introduce a working definition “imagined podcast listener” present typology eight types imagined relationships podcaster audience. By juxtaposing findings with contexts in which describe “intimacy,” argue that while may envision diverse audience, perception within podcasts often reflects self-centered imaginary listener. this phenomenon an inverse parasocial relationship, it reverses direction illusory media personae audiences. Zusammenfassung Dieser Beitrag rückt das Verhältnis von Verletzbarkeit und Politik in den Mittelpunkt. Der Fokus liegt dabei weder auf erlittener oder angedrohter physischer Gewalt noch der Vulnerabilität marginalisierter Gruppen, sondern gegenwärtigen Selbstdarstellungen des politischen, bisweilen sogar regierenden Personals. Das macht es notwendig, klassische Begriffe Konzepte politischen Soziologie wie etwa ‚Macht‘, ‚Repräsentation‘, ‚Amt‘ ‚Person‘ erneut zu befragen.

Objective Structured Clinical Examinations (OSCEs) are critical for assessing clinical competencies in medical education. While traditional teaching methods remain prevalent, this study introduces an innovative approach by evaluating the effectiveness of OSCE preparation podcast improving students' performance using nephrology as a proof concept. This novel method offers flexible and accessible format supplementary learning, potentially revolutionizing A mono-centric randomized controlled trial was conducted among 50 fourth-year students. Participants were randomly assigned to either intervention group or control group. Both groups completed six nephrology-specific stations on DocSimulator, generative AI-powered virtual patient platform. Scores from three baseline post-intervention compared. As the medium of podcasting reaches maturity, exploring evolving nature parasocial intimacy, nostalgia, and change is crucial. With industry increasingly focused on financial viability, listener loyalty nostalgia are critical components in podcast audience studies. Listener reviews an integral part this research. This study enriches studies by investigating connection between relationships trust intimacy listeners develop with show hosts nostalgic reactions to changes. Using automated semantic network analysis over 12,000 for two longest-running best-regarded US podcasts, has confirmed pivotal role host content developing maintaining rapport listeners. Abstract Background Digital modalities which enable asynchronous learning, such as audio podcasts and videos demonstrating procedures, may benefit acquisition retention of knowledge clinical skills. The main objective this nationwide cross‐sectional survey study was to evaluate key aspects factors related usage procedural in anaesthesiology intensive care. Methods A 20‐item multiple‐choice‐question online created through a consensus process including pilot testing among residents consultants. Data were collected over 3‐month period, September–November 2023. Results completed by 466 anaesthetists. More than third reported using ≥1 time per week, whereas fewer one four participants used at least once week. Multivariable logistic regression analysis showed that working university hospital, male sex, younger age independently associated with podcast use the highest odds ratio (OR) for (<40 years vs. ≥40 old; OR 5.86 (95% confidence interval 3.55–9.67), p < .001). Younger also significantly higher frequency video (OR 1.71 (1.13–2.58), = .011), while predominantly care lower use.
