Attitude toward maths is shaped by cognitive components such as beliefs and perception. By having a positive attitude, students are more likely to embrace challenges, seek out new opportunities learn, develop resilience in the face of setbacks. This can open doors wide range career improve academic performance. Therefore, this study aimed investigate impact growth mindset intervention (GMI) on secondary school students' attitudes towards using quasi-experimental design. A total 69 form two from schools Kedah, Malaysia participated were randomly assigned control (n=35) or treatment group (n=34). The GMI module, consisting seven sessions covering topics, was implemented group. Data analyzed descriptive inferential statistics SPSS Version 26. Descriptive analysis indicated that respondents had moderate level attitude maths. To evaluate effectiveness intervention, Multivariate Analysis Covariance (MANCOVA) used, while controlling for covariate variables math's score gender. results showed significant improvement (p < .05) group's compared post-test. highlights importance creating growth-mindset-oriented classroom environment integrating elements into teaching enhance about their abilities intelligence.

College Student Mental Health: Exploring Depression, Anxiety, and Mindsets in First-Year STEM Students DOI

In this work we show the psychological well-being of first-year students taking a chemistry course, focusing on prevalence depression and anxiety symptoms, as well potentially problematic personal comparative mindsets, which may lay groundwork for future investigations mental health within population. Data was collected through surveys in-class worksheets administered during Spring semesters 2022 2023 in large lecture courses. Analysis revealed high rates among participants, with 49.3% experiencing moderate to severe symptoms 56.6% symptoms. These numbers are about 20% higher than recently reported values mixed undergraduate student populations United States. relating maladaptive perfectionism shows that 99.3% holding themselves standard, while 74.1% have negative self-perception relative reality. Most (>70%) scored range seven out eight mindsets studied, highlighting widespread STEM students. Correlation analyses highlighted significant relationships between both (r = 0.67) 0.63).
