Promoting UAV autonomous aerial video to improve cross-cultural understanding, historical knowledge, and students’ perception

We
designed
a
cross-cultural
learning
activity
leveraging
unmanned
aerial
vehicle
(UAV)
technology
to
enhance
historical
and
cultural
understanding
among
twenty
university
students
from
Indonesia
China.
By
recording
exchanging
videos
of
local
sites
using
UAVs
equipped
with
the
latest
AI
features,
gained
unique
perspectives
on
these
landmarks,
unavailable
through
traditional
ground-level
photography.
This
study
examined
how
such
activities
foster
deepen
knowledge,
alongside
participants'
perceptions
UAV
video
production.
Employing
mixed
method
approach,
including
analysis,
questionnaires,
interviews,
we
discovered
that
not
only
facilitated
experience
but
also
significantly
impacted
insights.
The
ease
use
its
effectiveness
in
education
were
particularly
noted,
participants
expressing
intentions
future
contexts.
Based
findings,
offer
recommendations
for
educators
researchers
integrate
into
educational
settings.

The
urgency
of
implementing
Culturally
Responsive
Teaching
(CRT)
and
E-Assessment
in
sermon
text
learning
lies
the
need
to
enhance
relevance

analyze
effectiveness

CRT
improving
students'
competencies
at
Pondok
Pesantren
Modern
Islam
Assalaam,

qualitative
approach
with
an
embedded
case
design.
Data
were
collected
through
in-depth
interviews,
participatory
observations,
documentation,
audio-video
recordings.
Thematic
analysis
was
conducted
identify
patterns
technology-based
assessment
practices.

show
that
enhances
students’
contexts,
boosting
confidence,
participation,
intercultural
understanding.
Meanwhile,
provides
tool
for
evaluating
texts,
terms
structure,
coherence,
language
use.
However,
also
highlights
challenges,
such
as
limitations
assessing
performative
aspects

skills

material
development.
