Abstract Background Unaccompanied young refugees (UYRs) report high rates of post-traumatic stress, depression and anxiety, low mental health service utilization. Studies have examined the experiences psychotherapists in psychotherapy, focusing on barriers. Our stepped-care approach aims to reduce barriers through comprehensive support, such as training case consultation for interpreters, treatment recommendations UYRs. Methods A qualitative design with semi-structured interviews was employed, 20 psychotherapists, whom 13 were females. All participated ‘BETTER CARE’ project, which included trauma-focused cognitive-behavioral therapy consultations. We analyzed psychotherapists’ initial worries, challenges, facilitators treating UYRs posttraumatic stress disorder, compared responses completers’ non-completers’ following a mix deductive inductive coding. Abstract This study examines the impact of post‐migration living difficulties (PMLDs) and quality life (QoL) on mental health 55 young refugees who arrived in Germany either accompanied or unaccompanied. The results reveal that nearly 62% participants exhibited clinically significant symptoms depression post‐traumatic stress disorder. Regression analyses indicate psychopathology was associated with being unaccompanied experiencing lower QoL, while QoL higher economic status PMLDs. Mediation analysis further demonstrates reduced PMLDs were which, turn, correlated levels psychopathology. Abstract Unaccompanied young refugees (UYRs) are at an elevated risk of continuing psychological distress, including posttraumatic stress symptoms (PTSS), depression, and anxiety. The post-arrival situation in a host country plays important role increasing or reducing mental health risks for UYRs. This study aimed to examine the trajectory distress post-migration factors experienced by UYRs Germany with five assessments every six months over two-year period. Standardised self-report questionnaires were used assess PTSS (CATS-2), depression (PHQ-9), anxiety (GAD-7) symptoms. Material social stressors (DSSYR), sociocultural adjustment (BSAS), frequency contact family members, regarding asylum status included as factors. N = 131 (M age 17.04; SD 1.46; 81.1% male) living residential care facilities this study. There was significant loss follow up n 77 after 12 T2 (59% attrition), 37 24 T4 (28% attrition).
