Research on the Educational Tourism Development of Intangible Cultural Heritage: Suitability, Spatial Pattern, and Obstacle Factor

Combining the Intangible Cultural Heritage and sustainable development has been an important effort of UNESCO since new century. This study discusses suitability educational tourism intangible cultural heritage. On one hand, it was beneficial to improve comprehensive quality students; on other conducive protecting rationally developing heritage avoiding its loss. In this study, evaluation index system established according analytic hierarchy process, which included two aspects (i.e., intrinsic value extrinsic conditions) 16 indices from four criterion layers (e.g., value, recreational environmental conditions, relevant facilities services). Furthermore, we calculated spatial distribution patterns for tourism. At same time, using obstacle degree model, degrees each indicator factor were screened identified explore source obstacles that restrict ICH. Results showed that: (1) The divided into high suitability, middle low suitability. A total 186 heritages found in Shandong Province, China. Among these heritages, 60 (32.26%) with values ranging 0.326 0.460; 86 (46.24%) 0.460–0.543, 40 (21.50%) a range 0.543–0.689. (2) Province exhibited significantly positive correlation projects similar levels clustered group generally distributed direction “southwest northeast”. (3) According diagnostic results analysis, perspective first level indicator, (A1) three ICH highest. second-level indicators, (B1) always biggest affecting ICH, relevance content (C2), representativeness typicality phenomenon (C3), applicability teaching cases (C4), uniqueness or rarity (C5) greatest among factors.
