This study explored the effectiveness of Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI®) Nurture Group© to improve social-emotional development among preschool aged students who experienced economic hardship and COVID-19 pandemic. A mixed-methods approach using Strengths Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ) focus group interviews with teaching staff were used determine intervention on pre-kindergarten students. Significant improvements in children occurred, including reduced conduct peer relationship problems, decreased emotional behavioral difficulties, increased prosocial behavior. Preschool showed positive changes development, though not statistically significant. There was a significant difference that occurred between classes domains problems behaviors, as significantly larger these domains. Qualitative findings indicated enhanced empathy self-regulation skills participating consistency TBRI® principles center's curriculum. Overall, this confirms theory positively impacts children's implications for occupational therapy practitioners promote trauma-informed approaches protective factors through collaboration educators.
