Objective Numerous studies suggest that hypnosis has significant potential in mental health and cognitive disorder treatments. However, the mechanisms by which influences brain activity functional network connectivity remain unclear. This study employed near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS) to investigate resting-state (rsFC) under hypnosis. Methods Twenty-six healthy college students participated study. Resting-state oxygenated hemoglobin (HbO) data were collected from prefrontal cortex (PFC) during both control aware hypnotic states. Functional strengths between these states analyzed assess changes associated with deep Results A total of 55 paired samples t -tests conducted across 11 regions interest (ROIs), revealing statistically differences ( p < 0.05) strength state 10 comparisons. Increased (6 pairs): LBA9-RBA10 = −2.672, 0.013), LBA6-RBA46 −2.948, 0.007), LBA46-RBA46 −2.516, 0.019), RBA8-RBA46 −2.689, RBA9-RBA46 −2.090, 0.047), LBA10-RBA10 −2.315, 0.029); Decreased (4 LBA9-LBA45 2.064, 0.049), LBA6-LBA45 3.151, 0.004), LBA8-LBA45 2.438, 0.022), LBA8-RBA9 2.085, 0.047). No observed other ROI pairs. Conclusion Hypnosis appears modulate function DLPFC, PFC, related regions, enhancing specific connectivity. preliminary demonstrates analysis using fNIRS is a valuable approach for studying

Background and Aims: Increasing interest in hypnotherapy's application for a wide range of health conditions has spurred rise global research publications. This study aims to visualize development patterns current hotspots clinical hypnotherapy practice using scientometric methods, predict future directions based on the keyword trending topics analysis. Methods: Data applications mechanisms settings between 1994 2023 were gathered from Scopus, Web Science, PubMed, followed by analysis visualization VOSviewer, Bibliometrix package R , CiteSpace. Results: A total 1,549 publications examined, indicating steady annual increase with an average growth rate 8.5%, reaching high 134 2022. The United States was primary hub. Collectively, 1,464 distinct institutions involving 3,195 scholars contributed this theme. Collaboration predominantly confined same country, institution, and/or team. High-frequency keywords included "Pain", "Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)", "Anxiety". Systematic review meta-analysis have emerged as favored methods. fMRI EEG commonly used techniques exploring neuropsychological underlying hypnotherapy. "Self-Hypnosis", "Virtual Reality", "Meditation" predicted topics, that patients' self-managed hypnosis practice, virtual reality hypnotherapy, exploration variations meditation might be emerging key within field. Conclusion: use diverse issues, particularly pain, IBS, comorbid anxiety, is garnering attention. evidence-based approach widely assess quality evidence Researchers are keen innovating traditional hetero-hypnosis, shift towards more cost-effective self-hypnosis immersive Promoting reinforcing collaborative efforts across countries, institutions, teams warranted. Type 2 diabetes (T2D) is a chronic metabolic disorder that has notable influence on mental well-being, contributing to elevated morbidity and mortality rates. Depression anxiety disorders are the most common health concerns among patients with T2D worldwide. Therefore, present study aimed assess impact of an online intensive lifestyle intervention (ILI) outcomes (depression anxiety) in India. This retrospective pre-post analysis included adult (aged > 18 years) diagnosed who were enrolled management program India between June 2021 2023. The consisted modifications such as customized plant-based diet, regular physical activity, psychological support through group individual therapy, medical management. Data extracted from electronic database clinic, including anthropometry, history, biochemical parameters, symptoms depression, (assessed using Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9) Generalized Anxiety Disorders-7 (GAD-7) scale) at start end six-month period. Of 1061 eligible (177 prediabetes), 40.3% female. mean age, duration diabetes, HbA1c levels 52 ± 10.4 years, 9.8 7.8 8 1.7%, respectively. prevalence depression (ranging mild severe) was 46% 44.3%, respectively, which reduced 28.7% 29.2%, post-intervention. Integrated ILI successfully improved highlighting importance multidisciplinary approach includes support, enhancing T2D. Future prospective studies needed explore long-term effects interventions develop effective strategies for promoting diverse populations. approved by Freedom Diabetes Research Foundation Institutional Ethics Committee (approval number FFDRF/IEC/2024/7) registered Clinical Trials Registry (CTRI/2024/03/064596, March 21, 2024).

Objectives The effects of hypnosis on physiological (gastrointestinal) functions are incompletely understood, and it is unknown whether they hypnosis-specific gut-specific, or simply unspecific relaxation. Design Sixty-two healthy female volunteers were randomly assigned to either a single session hypnotic suggestion ingesting an appetizing meal unappetizing meal, relax concentrate having while the electrogastrogram (EGG) was recorded. At end session, participants drank water until felt full, in order detect EGG-signal changes after ingestion true gastric load. During both conditions reported their subjective well-being, hunger disgust at several time points. Results Imagining eating food induced feelings as well EGG similar to, but more pronounced than those seen with real load during relaxation conditions. These when imagining meal. There no significant difference between Conclusion Imagination without exhibits objective measures response food, indicating high sensitivity low specificity.
