Psychological morbidity is common among patients with breast cancer. The present study aimed to find the relationship between modifiable determinants, that is, perceived social support (PSS) and mental adjustment cancer (reflecting coping) depression in A total of 76 adult undergoing treatment at a tertiary care hospital were recruited this cross-sectional study. Patients diagnosed for as per ICD-10 criteria. Hamilton Depression Rating Scale was used assessing severity depression. PSS coping style assessed using Multidimensional Perceived Social Support Mini-Mental Adjustment Cancer scale. We analyzed data Fisher exact test, Mann-Whitney U Spearman's correlation, logistic regression, mediation analysis. 26.3% had regression showed significant predictor occurrence (OR = 0.793, 95% CI: 0.634-0.992). analysis hopelessness-helplessness (a maladaptive subscale) mediates effects on effect mediated through (hopelessness-helplessness). Accessing these factors can provide an important avenue psychological intervention patients.

Abstract Objectives This study aimed to examine the extent which mindfulness, self-compassion, and body image distress are associated with peaceful acceptance or struggle illness in terminally ill cancer patients, after controlling for psychological distress, sociodemographic characteristics (age, gender, education, marital status), clinical (body mass index, Karnofsky Performance Status, time since diagnosis).
