The present work psychometrically evaluates a brief self-report questionnaire and novel ecological momentary assessment (EMA) items to assess the Suicide Crisis Syndrome (SCS). Data from n = 220 psychotherapy outpatients (sample 1) 142 psychiatric inpatients after suicide attempt or suicidal crisis 2) are analyzed (cross-sectional, study 1; 21 24 day EMA, 2). Abstract: Background: Passive and active suicidal ideation (SI) have been shown to be co-occurring but are distinguishable constructs with presumably differential sets of predictors. Aims: The present analysis integrates nomothetic idiographic analyses unravel the relations between passive SI momentary affective states in real-time data tap several knowledge gaps. Methods: 54 psychiatric inpatients rated their current positive as well negative affect for six consecutive days (10 random prompts daily) using ecological assessments on smartphones. Data were analyzed group iterative multiple model estimation (GIMME). Results: On subgroup level, only significant contemporaneous paths emerged (with no direct from SI). In general, personalized models revealed large heterogeneity. number, direction, strengths individual differed enormously fewer than overall). interrelated majority models. Limitations: Findings limited by item wording, co-occurence SI, short observation interval. Conclusion: heterogeneous potentially reflect structural functional differences development maintenance SI.

Siblings of individuals with neurodevelopmental conditions (NDCs) have greater incidence neuropsychiatric diagnoses and neurocognitive difficulties compared to siblings persons without NDCs. Despite suicidality being labelled a global health crisis (WHO, 2014) NDC experiencing risk factors implicated in suicidality, no previous studies examined amongst adolescent young adult Our study aimed bridge this gap.The present used Bayesian analyses classification models examine individual environmental associated suicidal thoughts behaviours NDCs (n = 267; 132 NDC, 135 control group, mean age 20.61, range 14-27, 76.40% female, 76.78% White Caucasian), as measured using self-report survey data remote self-administered cognitive tests.NDC had higher rates current nonsuicidal self-injury (NSSI; 18.94% versus 14.07%, δ -0.32), ideation (25.76% 8.89%, -0.40) history suicide attempts (18.18% 4.44%, -0.43) controls. Classification boosting random forest demonstrated adequate performance: positive predictive value 0.86-0.91, negative 0.81-0.90, false 0.11-0.24. Cognitive inflexibility, alexithymia, inattention, bullying, depression, NSSI, eating or psychotic disorder the highest relative importance predicting lifetime suicidality. Poorer executive functioning (measured by Wisconsin Card Sorting Task, Sustained Attention Response Stop Signal N-Back 2-back task) was strongly correlated suicidality.Screening for proximal modifiable is critical inform behaviour intervention prevention programs at-risk siblings.

Background: Men are up to four times more likely die by suicide than women. At the same time, men less disclose suicidal ideation and transition rapidly from attempt. Recently, socialized gender norms such as traditional masculinity ideologies (TMI) have been discussed driving factor for men’s increased risk thoughts behaviors (STBs). This study aims examine individual interplay between TMI dimensions their association with depression symptoms, help-seeking, STBs.Methods: Using data an anonymous online survey of 488 cisgender men, latent profile analysis was performed identify subgroups. Multigroup comparisons hierarchical regression analyses were used estimate differences in sociodemographic characteristics, psychotherapy use, STBs.Results: Three subgroups identified: Egalitarians (58.6%; characterized overall low TMI), Players (16.0%; patriarchal beliefs, endorsement sexual promiscuity, heterosexual self-presentation), Stoics (25.4%; restrictive emotionality, self-reliance, engagement risky behavior). showed a 2.32 higher lifetime attempt, younger age, stronger somatization unbearability beliefs. Conclusion: The about willingness engage behavior, paired beliefs emotional pain, may create suicidogenic psychosocial system.
