Introduction Suicide is the second leading cause of death among adolescents worldwide. Suicidal ideation (SI) in may be influenced by factors such as resilience, anxiety, and depressive symptoms. The COVID-19 pandemic served a significant stressor with documented impacts, yet further research needed to clarify its effects. While stressful events are known associated increased SI, direct evidence linking specifically elevated SI remains limited. Objective aim this study was identify risk protective Mexican during pandemic. Method A cross-sectional, correlational descriptive conducted between May June 2022 sample 2,194 high school students, mean age 16.6 years (SD = 1.2). Among participants, 58.9% were female 41.1% male. They completed inventories assess stress, symptoms, resilience. Results Of 2194 adolescents, 15.5% presented females showing higher prevalence symptoms compared males. In contrast, resilience lower females. Furthermore, identified factor for (OR 1.212; 95% CI 1.186, 1.240), whereas social competence highlighted 1.046 1.044, 1.078). Conclusions findings underscore importance preventing addressing anxiety which factors, promoting factor. Therefore, an integrated approach that addresses both individual mental health context must considered adolescents.
