Introduction
This
research
is
a
systematic
review
aimed
at
synthesizing
scientific
evidence
on
the
causes
of
university
dropout,
focusing
subcategories
vocational
guidance,
academic
performance,
socioeconomic
status,
and
institutional
aspects
between
2020
June
2024.
Methods
Only
articles
addressing
dropout
were
considered,
analyzing
dimensions
such
as
aspects.
Articles
published
in
indexed
journals
with
double-blind,
double-blind
peer,
or
open
reviews
2024
included.
The
main
databases
used
Scopus,
Web
Science,
Google
Scholar.
To
assess
risk
bias
qualitative
studies,
criteria
from
article
“Validity
for
research:
three
epistemological
strands
same
purpose”
used.
For
quantitative
“Evaluating
survey
Library
Science
journals”
followed.
mixed-method
both
sets
combined.
Results
A
total
23
studies
included:
15
(65.22%),

(13.04%),
5
(21.74%).
All
(100%)
addressed
status
Regarding
performance
subcategory,
86%
it,
while
guidance
subcategory
was
covered
by
73.91%
studies.
Conclusions
Vocational
are
crucial
reducing
dropout.
Providing
adequate
professional
support,
financial
assistance,
strong
support
fundamental
to
improving
student
retention
success.

Teaching
physiology
can
be
challenging
as
students
are
initially
required
to
understand
basic
and
abstract
concepts.
Thus
typically
view
a
"difficult"
subject
place
an
emphasis
on
rote
learning
memorization.
Here,
we
attempted
address
this
knowledge
gap
by
introducing
pedagogical
intervention
into
the
neurophysiology
lesson
plan
of
first-year
medical
health
at
University
La
Réunion.
This
aimed
better
link
concepts
(e.g.,
saltatory
conduction)
pathological
disorder
(multiple
sclerosis),
together
with
discussion
specific
therapeutic
(fampridine).
Students
were
complete
readings
(focused
aspects)
two
online
quizzes
before
scheduled
in-person
lectures.
They
could
also
pose
questions
dedicated
forum.
Thereafter,
lectures
discussed
posted
forum,
provided
feedback
poorly
answered
(from
quizzes),
dealt
posed
attending
classes.
Student
regarding
pedagogic
was
assessed
anonymous
survey.
survey
revealed
that
positively
received.
For
example,
94%
respondents
agreed
course
well
developed,
while
80%
indicated
beneficial
in
terms
their
understanding
Together,
enthusiastically
received
who
understood
how
nerve
fit
broader
context
