This research investigates the intricate interplay between escapism, procrastination, and social media engagement among Generation Z population in India. The primary aim was to examine potential mediating role of procrastination association escapist tendencies excessive consumption. A sample 621 participants aged 18-25 completed self-report measures assessing these constructs. Excessive use of the Internet and digital devices has become a growing public health concern, contributing to mental issues, sedentary lifestyles, decreased well-being. Despite increasing prevalence overuse, there is no consensus on effective interventions mitigate its impact. This article aimed provide an updated perspective current research into problematic Internet, explore potential physical exercise as key strategy in prevention treatment programs at reducing such use. Based two previous objectives, this study also author-informed recommendations for detox interventions, supporting inclusion regular exercise, particularly outdoor natural environments, central component programs.
