Prefabricated buildings that are more environmentally friendly have been vigorously promoted by the Chinese government because of reduced waste and carbon emissions during construction process. Most processes prefabricated completed in component factory, but safety risks hoisting process cannot be ignored. In this paper, initial framework a Bayesian Network (BN) is obtained from combination improved Human Factors Analysis Classification System Model (HFACS) BN. The similarity aggregation method (SAM) used to calculate prior probability BN, which can better summarize deal with fuzzy judgment experts on risk accidents. SAM consider both weight relative consistency their opinions, great significance for improving reliability BN inputted data. This paper uses project Sanya, Hainan Province, verify validity model. results show calculation model basically consistent actual situation. relatively low, premise unsafe behaviors supervision key factors project. addition maintaining good conditions workers’ healthy states, it also necessary carefully check performance tower cranes equipment such as spreaders. During operation crane, workers should avoid walking or staying within range.

Prefabrication constitutes a sizeable share this and is being adopted all over world. method casting elements controlled environment assembling them on-site revolutionised industry. Research on various aspects technology ongoing around world, an impressive number articles have been published. However, prefab technology, materials used, terminology varied across locations, which may hindered method’s wider acceptability. By evaluating technical published between 1991 2022, report analyses present body knowledge regarding its evolution, sustainability, stakeholder views. This effectively contributes 40% time saving, 27% cost reduction, 30% reduced carbon emissions, 84% wastage reduction. Purpose It is clear that some research has been done on this issue in many developed countries, but attention needs to be paid the development of prefabricated construction (PC) developing countries. PC gaining momentum Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA), a region with burgeoning industry. However, industry still lacks sufficient and participation from regional contractors. From SSA’s point view, there significant gap understanding influencing factors their implications opening prefabrication factories. As major country, China’s deserves special lessons. Therefore, we provide boost PC’s long-term SSA based Chinese international experiences. Design/methodology/approach To address gap, paper proposes methodology for analyzing contractors factories SSA. The proposed method consists three phases: (1) quantitative questionnaire survey using five-point Likert scale, (2) confirmatory factor analysis test observed variables (3) structural equation modeling model interconnections analyze direct indirect linkages. Findings results integrated identify novel establishment impact promoting buildings Additionally, highlight essential aspects policymakers formulate supportive regulatory frameworks government incentives support contractors, market penetration strategies, promotion project innovations, integration advanced technologies, incorporation sustainable materials enhance standard encourage knowledge transfer Originality/value This supports policymakers, stakeholders, consumers, researchers identifying improving interrelationships. enables interested parties devise more effective strategies promote alleviate housing shortage affordable solutions. reduces (residential) costs while creating jobs can stimulate local economy contribute growth infrastructure technological advances region.
