Background: The emerging paradigm of whole person health shares many core principles with traditional complementary and integrative frameworks, including Tai Chi Qigong (TCQ). Methods: In the fall 2023, Harvard Medical School Osher Center for Integrative Health hosted inaugural international conference on Science & Whole Person Health: Advancing Integration Mind-Body Practices into Contemporary Healthcare at School. A two-part white paper was written to summarize key topics, findings, issues. Results Discussion: Part II presented here summarizes evidence gaps future research opportunities, including: understudied clinical conditions populations, impact long-term TCQ training, understanding specific styles, training regimens, dosage, contextual effects; implementation, cost-effectiveness, medical utilization research; individual data meta-analysis, teaching competencies, credentialing, licensure. I this discusses rationale conference, synthesizes state as rehabilitative preventive tools a range conditions, translational informing therapeutic mechanisms associated training.

Depression has become one of the most common mental disorders in world. The rising incidence rate and disability pose a serious challenge to public health socio-economic development. We mainly explored physiological psychological mechanisms exercise alleviating depression different age groups. In particular, we evaluated characteristics influencing factors each group compared pathways through works, aiming provide scientific basis clinical practice policies, strengthen application treatment management. It is worth noting that, context comprehensive search analysis recent literature, have covered epidemiology depression, impact on health, groups, specific ways alleviates mechanisms. Exercise symptoms by regulating neurotransmitters, enhancing neuroplasticity, hormone levels, reducing inflammatory responses pathways, well cognitive function, strengthening emotional regulation, triggering social interactions, improving self-efficacy pathways. differences among groups determine dependent mitigating depression. Objective Mindfulness-based Tai Chi Chuan (MTCC) have been shown to contribute improvements in cognitive and executive functions. Changes inhibition, an aspect of function, closely linked mobile phone addiction. However, the relationship between these elements remains unclear. This study aims investigate effects 8-week MTCC intervention on mindfulness levels, addiction male college students. Additionally, explores role function improving through interventions. Methods Sixty-six students were selected as research subjects randomly divided into a control group (33) experimental (33). The maintained their normal physical activity levels without any additional intervention. In contrast, underwent 8 weeks training. Mindfulness assessed using Mindful Attention Awareness Scale (MAAS), while was evaluated by Mobile Phone Addiction Index (MPAI). Flanker task, 1-back More-Odd Shifting task employed evaluate updating, shifting aspects respectively. Results (1) significantly improved among students, with showing lower post-intervention MPAI score (46.09 ± 18.11) compared (56.55 16.02), yielding mean difference −10.46 (95% CI: −18.92 −1.99, p = 0.016). also (p 0.046), did specific sub-functions function: inhibition correct rate ( < 0.001), response 0.001).
