The COVID-19 pandemic significantly impacted the mental health of workers. This study aimed to assess prevalence psychological distress among Brazilian workers during early months and explore its associated factors. A cross-sectional was conducted using an online questionnaire administered 2903 workers, including 1752 non-healthcare (NHCWs) 1151 healthcare (HCWs), between April May 2020. Snowball sampling employed for participant recruitment, research adapted use with population through a process translation cultural adaptation, based on instrument initially created validated in Spain. Differences NHCWs HCWs were tested chi-square or Fisher’s Exact test Mann–Whitney followed by effect size measurement. Multiple linear regression models used analyze association predictor variables. Psychological observed 72.6% (95% CI 70.1–74.2%) participants, no significant difference HCWs.
