Background: Newly graduated registered nurses face more challenges than their experienced counterparts, as they not only confront the high pressures of an increasingly complex medical environment but also need to quickly adapt jobs and role transitions. This study compares the emotional expressions and structural characteristics of workplace violence (WPV) against Chinese nurses in social media comments news reports, highlighting differences focal points dissemination. A quantitative utilising text mining network analysis. Data containing keywords 'nurse violence', bullying', bullying' were collected from platforms (e.g., Xiaohongshu, Zhihu, Weibo) Baidu News, People's Daily, Xinhua News) between January 1, 2016, October 31, 2024. Introduction Workplace violence is a relevant social problem due to its high prevalence and serious consequences. A quarter of workplace occurs in the healthcare sector. Evidence shows differences among professionals, with emergency department workers being especially vulnerable, presenting higher risk suffering mental physical health problems, as well threats their professional integrity.
