The prevailing focus of lifespan health research has predominantly centered on "healthy aging". This oversight may hinder the understanding across lifespan, as disorders in earlier stages can substantially impact overall and longevity. Aging, conceptually, begins at gestation. trajectory an individual's is influenced from earliest life, where adverse conditions set a foundation for lifelong challenges. For example, suboptimal during gestation leading to premature birth predispose individuals various issues later life. Additionally, precocious puberty defined onset sexual maturity before eight years age or early menopause-occurring 50 requires medical intervention indicative atypical aging processes. To address these critical gaps research, expansion lexicons categorizations advocated include gestation," development," reproduction" alongside aging." broader terminology will enable more comprehensive investigation all life stages. An integrative approach underscores interconnectedness continuous nature aging, advocating seamless continuum interventions through late adulthood.

Given the growing challenges posed by an ageing population, particularly in Western countries, we aimed to investigate potential geroprotective effects of resveratrol and melatonin rats. The animals were treated with these two compounds starting at 3 months age continuing until 1 year or 2 years age. Using a multibiomarker approach, assessed DNA damage, telomere length, oxidative status their urine, liver, kidneys. Despite employing this experimental our results did not provide conclusive evidence across evaluated organs. However, observed sex-dependent differences response treatment. high potency compounds, further research is warranted explore incorporation into daily routines as strategy mitigate ageing-related effects.

Effective thermoregulation is crucial for maintaining homeostasis. Previous research has suggested a link between lower steady-state body temperature and longevity, particularly in physically healthy, nonobese older adults. However, the exact mechanisms behind this relationship remain unclear. Despite physiological insights gained from studies on temperature, limited attention been given to its potential role as biomarker of longevity healthy populations. This study aimed evaluate using historical data two cohorts. The longitudinal cohort consisted 142 individuals, followed 25 years beginning at age 45, while cross-sectional included 204 individuals stratified into four lifespan categories. To examine agerelated trends Page’s test was employed, ordinal regression used. analysis revealed significant decrease women with age, men showed no change. indicated trend toward temperatures longer lifespans. Lower may reflect reduced metabolic rate, thereby mitigating oxidative stress molecular damage, both which are known drive aging limit lifespan. Furthermore, signal favorable inflammatory profile, could translate slower increased survival. observed sex-specific differences thermoregulatory patterns raise important questions about hormonal influences, such estrogen levels. Overall, these findings suggest that lifetime be warranting further exploration mechanistic underpinnings.

The increasing consumer demand for cosmetic products has led to the widespread use of synthetic substances, which are inexpensive and readily available but can sometimes harm skin body. Examples include hydroxybenzoic acid esters (parabens) phthalates, considered endocrine disruptors, fragrances that may cause irritation or allergies. Consequently, there been a shift in preferences towards natural products. In response this expanding market skincare products, search ingredients as alternatives ones intensified. Algae-derived compounds have emerged promising candidates due their photoprotective properties diverse biological activities, including UV absorption, antioxidant effects, matrix metalloproteinase inhibition, anti-aging, immunomodulatory properties. These phenolic ranging from simple molecules highly polymerized forms, offer significant benefits. Marine algal with antioxidants, sunscreen, thickening, moisturizing properties, effectively enhance protection against various forms damage. main groups macro microalgae, such Chlorophyta (green algae), Heterokontophyta (brown Rhodophyta (red Cyanobacteria (blue-green Bacillariophyceae (diatoms), Haptista (coccolithophores), all possess beneficial cosmetics.
