Abstract Current physical fitness levels in Japanese children are lower than that the 1980s. Investigating specific relationship between adherence to 24-hour movement guidelines (24-h MG, MVPA: moderate-to-vigorous activity; ScT: screen time; Sleep: sleep duration) and is crucial improve children’s levels. Overall eight component scores (handgrip strength, sit-up, sit-and-reach, repeated side jump, 20-meter shuttle run, 50-meter sprint, standing long softball throw) were measured using standardized tests elementary schools. Associations compliance with 24-h overall fitness, each score analyzed by analysis of covariance. A total 307 participants (41.4% male) included analysis. significantly higher who met only MVPA (P < 0.01), ScT Sleep 0.001), all three criteria 0.05), those did not. Children meeting MVPA, ScT, criteria, had for components one or both not differ its compared meet. Handgrip strength flexibility associated any MG pattern. Furthermore, combined other behaviors (ScT Sleep) demonstrated a trend towards greater muscle extremities, cardiorespiratory agility, dexterity.

Human movement behaviour typically unfolds in 24-h cycles, with children being additionally influenced by their parents. Therefore, the aim of this study was to investigate adherence 3-10-year-old World Health Organization's (WHO) guidelines relation behaviours mothers/fathers. Data from Czech cross-sectional FAMIly Physical Activity, Sedentary and Sleep included 381 families (with at least one child aged 3-10 years) urban rural areas across all three regions Czechia. Twenty four-hour (sleep, sedentary behaviour, physical activity) monitored using ActiGraph accelerometers placed on non-dominant wrists parents for seven consecutive days. Children's WHO analysed logistic regression analysis. 25.9% girls 26.7% boys simultaneously met (sleep + activity), 44.7% 46.1% any combination two guidelines, regardless children's gender, weight, or calendar age. Maternal overweight/obesity significantly (P = .05) decreased odds achieving while parental university education maternal increased complying these guidelines. Parents, especially mothers, play an important role influencing meeting shaping a healthy lifestyle.

Background : Evidence-based 24-hour movement guidelines have been developed to integrate recommendations for time spent on moderate vigorous physical activity (MVPA), screen (ST), and sleep. This study investigated the adherence explored relationship with health-related quality of life (HRQoL) in adolescents. Methods Cross-sectional findings are based 1774 adolescents (49.1% female) aged 13–16 years from Shenyang region China. MVPA, ST, sleep duration were self-reported using International Physical Activity Questionnaire, an ST questionnaire, a wake–sleep questionnaire. HRQoL was measured Pediatric Quality Life Inventory, which encompasses physical, psychosocial, total HRQoL. Adherence classified by meeting general (eg, none, 1, 2, 3 guidelines) specific combinations MVPA within recommendations. Associations examined linear models adjusted age, sex, parents’ education. Results A 5.1% sample met all three guidelines. Additionally, compared no guideline, associated better ( β = 5.37; 95% CI, 0.69–9.49; P .005), psychosocial 3.76; 0.84–6.68; .012), 4.16; 1.35–6.98; .004).
