Lung cancer remains the leading cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide, with increasing attention being given to novel therapeutic strategies that target mechanisms underlying tumor growth and drug resistance. Among these, ferroptosis, a regulated cell death driven by iron-dependent lipid peroxidation, has become key focus in research. Despite extensive research, exact role ferroptosis lung progression treatment unclear, especially regarding its interaction immune cells microenvironment. To address these limitations, this study utilizes comprehensive bibliometric analysis explore current landscape research cancer. We collected data from Web Science Core Collection, covering articles published between 2015 2025, analyzed them using advanced tools such as VOSviewer CiteSpace. This uses uncover trends emerging areas related Recently, shifted basic clinical applications, particularly developing GPX4-targeted therapies combination treatments. With international collaboration, United States China have players. Interdisciplinary on cancer-immune system, offers new insights into microenvironment immunotherapy. Ferroptosis shows excellent promise overcoming resistance regulating peroxidation enhancing efficacy. Future should ferroptosis' translation, personalized medicine resistance, offering broad prospects for treatment. paper provides valuable trends, contributors, frontiers It identifies important developments can serve foundation translating ferroptosis-based practice,
