Background and objectives: The urban underground complex integrates comprehensive architecture subterranean space, presenting physical psychological complexities. To mitigate the negative experiences associated with this complexity, we need to explore, in depth, how built environmental elements of complexes affect user perception design a comfortable, healthy, biophilic space. Methods: We selected Tianfu Square, typical Chengdu, China, as empirical case. identified 26 key indicators affecting designed Kano satisfaction questionnaires based on these indicators. A total 476 were distributed collect data users’ attitudes towards changes element quality their levels. By integrating model IPA method, defined perceptual attributes impact assessed alignment between satisfaction. Results: categorized into five types: attractive, one-dimensional, indifferent, must-be, reverse attributes, assigned corresponding importance then compared performance scores elements, evaluated alignment, needing optimization, proposed improvement strategies. Implications: This research provides valuable guidance for designers various environment spaces influence perceptions, practical implications planning design.
