The emergence of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is a significant threat to global food security, human health, and the future livestock production. Higher rates use in dairy farming sheer lack new antimicrobials available for focused attention on question how production sector contributed development AMR paved path toward taking action curtail it targeted type farms. This paper aims provide an introduction phenomenon that has gained considerable recent past due its ever-increasing impact, drugs, farms, seeks discuss possibilities approaches such as digital health monitoring precision farming. Using sensors, data, knowledge, automation, etc., monitoring, well Precision Livestock Farming (PLF), expected enhance control minimize disease usage. work presents literature review current status trends understanding concept PLF, presentation usefulness PLF preventing AMR. study also analyses strengths weaknesses adopting incorporating technologies artificial intelligence areas further level use.

Abstract Understanding human, animal, and environmental microbiota is essential for advancing global health combating antimicrobial resistance (AMR). We investigate the oral gut of 48 animal species in captivity, comparing them to those wildlife animals. Specifically, we characterize composition, metabolic pathways, AMR genes, biosynthetic gene clusters (BGCs) encoding production specialized metabolites. Our results reveal a high diversity microbiota, with 585 novel species-level genome bins (SGBs) 484 complete BGCs identified. Functional analysis microbiomes shows diet-dependent variations. Furthermore, by our findings wildlife-derived microbiomes, observe impact captivity on microbiome, including examples converging microbiome compositions. Importantly, study identifies genes against commonly used veterinary antibiotics, as well vancomycin, critical antibiotic human medicine. These underscore importance ‘One Health’ approach potential zoonotic transmission pathogenic bacteria AMR. Overall, contributes better understanding complexity highlights its BGC relevant discovery compounds.
