This paper examines the role of co-design methods in catalysing neighbourhood sharing and commoning European cities. Through comparative analysis two design-mediated Urban Living Labs (ULLs) Bagneux/Paris Poplar/London, explores how goods, spaces, experiences are sustained different contexts. The then presents a framework which was implemented both cities, new projects relations support urban commons. We conclude that nesting practices within 'civic-organic' ULLs can help to foster productive long-term between communities academic partners based on mutual trust initiate neighbourhoods study. argue generative this space, flattening knowledge hierarchies, supporting action ground, developing situated responses local needs.

Abstract One of the most recent topics in smart cities is community engagement which has been generally deliberated both industrial and academic literature around approaches tools employed urban environment. Accordingly, purpose this study to advocate for as a key driver that supports acquisition knowledge requirements needed innovation creativity towards achieving an equitable social sustainability. A semi-systematic review method adopted analyze 71 sources from Web Science Scopus databases. Secondary data extracted synthesized provide narrative descriptive analysis. Findings presents developed model can support by specifying factors influences sustainable city development. The enables citizens, policy makers, government, planners, academics, enterprises environment connect, interact, engage, co-create innovative services. More importantly findings research provides theoretical evidence on administrative non-administrative stakeholder’s involvement co-creation services cities. Furthermore, recommendation how perspective involving different stakeholders help achieve resilient technological driven supporting development ultimately actualizing socially inclusive space.

Abstract This paper builds on the expansion of urban ecology from a biologically based discipline—ecology in city—to an increasingly interdisciplinary field—ecology transdisciplinary, knowledge to action endeavor—an for and with city. We build this “prepositional journey” by proposing transformative shift ecology, we present framework how field may continue shift. conceptualize that is state flux, needed transform into more engaged field, one includes diversity actors willing participate future their cities. Currently, the world is facing resource scarcity as environmental impacts of human intervention continue to intensify. To facilitate conservation and recovery ecosystems transform cities into more sustainable, intelligent, regenerative, resilient environments, concepts circularity nature-based solutions (NbS) are applied.
