Experimenting urban living lab methodology on circular economy co-design activities in some Italian urban territories

The Urban Living Lab (ULL) is both a methodology and place where different actors of territory can collaborate with the aim urban transformation sustainable development. This paper briefly introduces methodological framework, that combines stakeholder engagement co-design process on Circular Economy (CE) ideas projects. structure framework foresees four main phases: scouting analysis territorial context, listening exploration, participation execution. objective this focuses application experimentation same ULL in Italian territories (Anguillara Sabazia metropolitan area Rome, Bologna, Taranto Venosa, small town southern Italy), to highlight how an effective approach for processes aiming transition toward CE. discussion section cases highlights results process: ideation project proposals CE activities suitable implementation reference territories. have shown steps be applied areas geographical, socio-economic characteristics, comparable terms activating within communities living there. In conclusion, experimenting proposed each areas, despite their differing it has stimulated growth cultural capital community ties. was achieved through exchange skills collaborative contributions multidisciplinary teams, resulting increased collective awareness.
