Using
data
collected
through
survey
questionnaires
with
fleet
managers
of
16
(61.5%)
Namibian
fishing
companies,
we
explored
the
current
practices,
challenges,
and
opportunities
in
promoting
Circular
Economy
(CE)
context
End-Of-Life
(EOL)
gear.
Most
companies
(56.2%)
have
been
operation
for
more
than
25
years.
A
majority
(62.5%)
are
involved
demersal
trawling,
mostly
targeting
hake
(
Merluccius
species).
Survey
findings
reveal
that
import
gear
a
semi
–
complete
format
(50.0%).
The
durability
nets
lines/ropes
is
about
3
2
years
respectively,
highlighting
continuous
generation
waste.
We
estimated
(that)
approximately
104
tons
EOL
gear,
lines/twine
ropes
(are)
generated
annually
by
industry,
however
10%
some
parts
recovered
reused.
None
recycle
which
attributed
to
lack
recycling
facilities.
Current
standard
practices
nets,
lines

include
selling
employees,
donating
other
institutions,
or
disposal
at
dumping
sites.
Although
sold
open
markets,
they
not
converted
into
value-added
products,
thus
fully
utilized
significantly

Tantangan
yang
dihadapi
oleh
masyarakat
di
abad
ke-21
semakin
meningkat,
terutama
dengan
berkurangnya
sumber
daya

manusia.
Selama
ini
kehidupan
ekonomi
berjalan
mengikuti
linear,
yaitu

tanpa
kendali.

sirkular
menjadi
baru
mencoba
untuk
memperbaiki
konsep
sebelumnya.

lingkungan
agar
keberlangsungan

dapat
terjaga.
Persoalan
muncul
akibat
kurang
peduli
terhadap

mengadakan
sosialisasi
Desa
Cicadas,
Tujuan

pentingnya
menerapkan
dalam
sehari-hari
sebagai
salah
satu
upaya
mengurangi
masalah

sosial

dilakukan
melalui
beberapa
tahapan
kegiatan,
penjajakan
kerjasama,
menyusun
rencana

(perencanaan)
pembuatan
materi
sosialisasi;
pelaksanaan
(sosialisasi
edukasi);
evaluasi
refleksi.
Sebagian
besar
peserta
belum
mengetahui
tentang
sirkular,
masih
tingkat
mengelola
plastik.

antusiasme
