In 2022, the EU coordinated action “From Hives” (Honey 2021–2022) revealed that 46% of imported honey in did not comply with “Honey Directive” and is suspected adulteration. Nowadays blockchain ecosystem a digital technology could be used to trace honey, assisting fraud reduction ensuring authenticity botanical geographical origin honey. Nevertheless, its implementation limited by stakeholders’ acceptance, particularly beekeepers’ decisions. With aim identify principal factor affecting beekeepers adoption, this study applied two theoretical models at farm level, related adoption: The Theory Planned Behavior (TPB) Technology Adoption Model (TAM). both models, an additional construct identified as maturity was included, analysing their impact on intention adopt through PLS-SEM method. General findings show all constructs extended influence blockchain. Especially, TAM model showed better results than TPB according explained variance (64.0 62.0% respectively). these perceived behavioral control usefulness perception were major predictors Moreover, farmers pivotal enhancing adoption such innovations. indicated implementing necessitates provision training resources enhance competencies, thereby augmenting trust proficiency utilizing technologies.
