Parabens are widely used in various industries, which including chemical, pharmaceutical, food, cosmetic, and plastic processing industries. Among these, methyl paraben (MP) serves as an antimicrobial preservative processed foods, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, it is particularly detected baby care products. Studies indicate that MP functions endocrine-disrupting compound with estrogenic properties, negatively affecting mitochondrial bioenergetics antioxidant activity testicular germ cells. However, limited information exists regarding studies on the effects of oocytes. The aim this study was to investigate specific mechanism toxic during oocyte maturation cultured vitro using a porcine model. results indicated (50 μM) inhibited expansion, significantly reducing expression expansion-related genes

Due to their antibacterial and antifungal properties, parabens are commonly used as biocides preservatives in food, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals. Parabens have been reported exist various water matrices at low concentrations, which renders the need for sample preparation before quantification using analytical techniques. Thus, methods such solid-phase extraction (SPE), rotating-disk sorptive (RDSE), vortex-assisted dispersive liquid-liquid (VA-DLLE) that preconcentration discussed. As a result of methods, techniques now detect trace levels ranging from µg/L ng/L. These compounds detected water, air, soil, human tissues. While full impact on health ecosystems is still being debated scientific community, it widely recognized can act endocrine disruptors. Furthermore, some studies suggested may carcinogenic effects. The presence environment primarily due wastewater discharges, widespread contamination concentrations increased during COVID-19 pandemic waves. Neglecting exposes humans these through contaminated food drinking water. Although there reviews focus occurrence, fate, behavior environment, they frequently overlook critical aspects removal policy development, regulatory frameworks. Addressing this gap, effective treatment relies combined approaches address both cost operational challenges. Membrane filtration nanofiltration (NF) reverse osmosis (RO), demonstrate high efficacy but hindered by maintenance energy costs extensive fouling. Innovations anti-fouling efficiency, coupled with pre-treatment like adsorption, help mitigate enhance scalability. combining adsorption advanced oxidation processes (AOPs) or biological treatments significantly improves economic efficiency. Integrating systems O₃/UV activated carbon, along byproduct recovery strategies, further advances circular economy goals minimizing waste resource use. This review provides thorough overview paraben monitoring wastewater, current techniques, policies govern presence. perspectives future investigations shaping aimed mitigating risks
