The reality of climate change is a fact that cannot be disputed. Its impact felt globally on nature and humans. Drought, flooding, delayed or excessive rainfall, extreme heat conditions, rising sea levels, hurricanes, etc. Have been linked to global warming change. Anthropogenic activities, especially in energy exploitation, are major source greenhouse gases (GHGs) driving As such, combat change, continued sourcing from fossil fuels with the emission must replaced by cleaner renewable (RE) options. Climate its effects phenomenon require concerted effort all nations combat. Nigeria one countries most affected given frequent floodings other related disasters. Also, signatory Paris Accord. However, country facing severe electricity shortages necessitating increased use fuels. How can meet commitment mitigation need country? This paper reviews current situation Nigeria, Nigerian RE program, sources initiatives, challenges technologies proposes way forward. study identifies potentials like wind, biomass, hydro, solar technologies, how they could harnessed for mitigation. Increasing such will drastically cut off emissions carbon dioxide stem In conclusion, enumerates recommendations conserve present generated using energy-efficient products practices.

Global food security is seriously threatened by climate change, which calls for creative agricultural solutions. However, little known about how different smart technologies are integrated to enhance security. As a strategic reaction these difficulties, this review investigates the incorporation of remote sensing (RS) as well artificial intelligence (AI) into climate-smart agriculture (CSA). This demonstrates advances can improve resilience, productivity, and sustainability utilizing AI's capacity predictive analytics, crop modelling, precision agriculture, along with RS's strengths in projections, land management, continuous surveillance. Several important tactics were covered, such combining AI RS regulate risks, maximize resource utilization, practice choices. The also discusses issues like policy frameworks, building, accessibility that prevent from being widely adopted. highlights further CSA offers insights they help ensure systems remain secure changing climates.

The frequency, duration, and intensity of heat waves (HWs) within terrestrial ecosystems are increasing, posing potential risks to agricultural production. Cerium dioxide nanoparticles (CeO2 NPs) garnering increasing attention in the field agriculture because their enhance photosynthesis improve stress tolerance. In present study, CeO2 NPs decreased grain yield, protein content, amino acid content by 16.2, 23.9, 10.4%, respectively, under HW conditions. Individually, neither nor HWs alone negatively affected rice production or triggered stomatal closure. However, conditions, conductance net photosynthetic rate 67.6 33.5%, respectively. Moreover, closure presence reactive oxygen species (ROS) accumulation (increased 32.3–57.1%), resulting chloroplast distortion reduced photosystem II activity (decreased 9.4–36.4%). Metabolic, transcriptomic, quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) analyses revealed that, activated a pathway mediated abscisic (ABA) ROS regulating gene expression (PP2C, NCED4, HPCA1, RBOHD were upregulated, while CYP707A ALMT9 downregulated) metabolite levels (the γ-aminobutyric (GABA) increased that gallic decreased). These findings elucidate mechanism underlying yield nutritional losses induced thus highlight threat posed during HWs.

The utilization of magnetic water treatment has gained significant attention as a promising method for addressing scaling and quality issues. This strategy attracted interest due to its ability potentially alter the behavior dissolved particles in water. investigation aimed examine impact utilizing two different pipe materials, "iron pipe" "PVC pipe", with specific emphasis on levels total salts (TDS). Unexpectedly, research findings indicate positive correlation between number coil turns TDS, which contradicts popular belief that would lead decrease TDS. For instance, at flow rate 1 mL/s, TDS increase from an average 265 ppm roughly 277 500 2000 around iron pipe, respectively. Similarly, when using PVC 263 271 field intensity increases. Furthermore, experiments carried out increased under constant strength show inverse relationship fall 261 260 rises mL/s 6 pipes, intriguing phenomenon presents challenge long-held theories highlights complex fields, chemistry. Despite unexpected results, indicates possible improvement reducing scaling, common problem fluid systems.
