Food security is pivotal for national sustainable development. This study utilizes panel data from 31 Chinese provinces spanning 1990 to 2021 construct distinct indicator systems urban–rural integration and food security. The entropy method employed assess levels of security, with their inter-relationship examined through a fixed-effects model. Additionally, this conducts rigorous robustness endogeneity tests, alongside comprehensive heterogeneity analyses across various dimensions regions. findings underscore the significant role in enhancing particularly within spatial, social, economic dimensions, albeit encountering challenges ecological integration. Moreover, impact on manifests differently diverse food-producing regions, exhibiting notable advantages primary production distribution hubs while being negligible balanced These results accentuate critical necessity refining strategies bolster Consequently, formulating agricultural regional policies, careful consideration resource allocation developmental stages each region imperative ensure promote practices.

Developing industries and promoting employment are essential for rural revitalization. This study establishes a theoretical framework to support the coordinated development of industry (RIE) with Chongqing, China as area. Methods include GIS spatial analysis, entropy-weighted TOPSIS method, coupled coordination degree model, an optimal-parameter-based GeoDetector. The analysis examines spatio-temporal evolution driving mechanisms RIE. main findings follows. (1) During period, Chongqing’s RIE improved significantly overall, although is relatively lagging. (2) characteristics exhibit “spatio-temporal ripple” “spindle-shaped” patterns, agglomeration has been enhanced. growth accompanied by diffusion echo employment. (3) primary mechanism “human-centered, natural resource-based socio-economic development.” Finally, this discusses employment-centered strategies industrial development, providing foundation policy-making in development.

The digital economy plays an increasingly crucial role in bridging the gap between urban and rural areas. This study investigates how development of can foster integrated areas by optimizing factor allocation, with emphasis on its potential to narrow urban-rural divide. aims examine impact integration, focusing particularly mediating optimized allocation. Using panel data from 30 Chinese provinces 2011 2022, we construct indicators for integration. analysis employs a two-way fixed-effects model, effect spatial Durbin model explore evolution Findings suggest that enhances integration both directly indirectly. The drive of the rural digital economy in agricultural development and enhancement net carbon efficiency are integral to ensuring quality ecology. To better understand impact on ecological quality, this paper utilizes panel data from 30 provinces (municipalities, autonomous regions) China 2013 2020 employs instrumental variable method analyze efficiency. results reveal that advancement significantly enhances agriculture, finding remains robust even after substituting explanatory variables excluding samples direct-administered municipalities. Heterogeneity analysis indicates aforementioned is more pronounced major grain-producing areas, regions with high industrial concentration, areas low government intervention. Introduction With the rapid development of digital technology and its deep integration with environmental ecological fields, economy has become an effective way to guide transition cities eco-friendly model. However, empirical studies on nonlinear spatial effects between welfare performance are still insufficient. Methods Based panel data 270 prefecture-level in China from 2011 2020, this paper empirically examines impact mechanism action using econometric modeling. Results The promotion effect is characterized by “J” shape increasing marginal effect, spillover neighboring inverted “U” inhibiting first then promoting later. test shows that can enhance through incremental green technological innovation local a positive effect. have direct U influencing factor allocation efficiency energy utilization efficiency. Can the backward endowments of rural areas support digital village construction to attain expected results? If answer is yes, what are mechanisms involved? Answering these questions related common prosperity. Counties China’s frontline commanders, and urban–rural income gap a suitable entry point for observing divide; however, there limited research assessing effectiveness from perspective at county level. In addition, counties lifted out poverty, as with worse initial that should be most concerned wealth, more typical examining construction; few studies on poverty. Based cross-sectional data 865 in China 2020, this study empirically analyzes impact using an OLS model. This also conducts mechanism tests poverty benefit addition heterogeneity robustness tests. The findings indicate development villages lowers difference between urban areas, shift industrial structure key driver effect.
