In order to study the strength characteristics of red clay stabilized by a high dosage phosphogypsum, mix proportion design was carried out at ratio phosphogypsum:red = 1:0.5, 1:1, 1:2, 1:3, 1:4, and 1:5 using 4%, 6%, 8% cement as curing agent, this through unconfined compressive test, water stability California bearing (CBR) durability test. As phosphogypsum content increases, shows trend increasing then decreasing, mixture is largest when with increase in number dry wet cycles, decreases, decay 2–3 cycles. The higher content, better performance mix. addition, CBR value can meet requirements freeway, primary highway, secondary highway bed, embankment filler ratio. paper, test method proposed express terms mass loss rate coefficient; increases coefficient decreases cycles;

Reclaiming derelict mine land is good for the environment, public health, and agricultural production. Technologies to optimise soil fertility crop yields with least time, cost damage environment have been developed in Nikopol district of Dnipropetrovs'k region which has extensively strip-mined manganese and, some places, restored by replacement overburden. Perennial legume-grass mixtures recreate fertile soil, not only reconstituted chernozem but, also, raw overburden materials. Different materials respond at different rates but over longer term (50 years), continue improve physical, chemical biological attributes. The lessons learned are equally applicable reclamation war-torn land.
