The evaluation of potential biostimulants to be used in sustainable horticulture production is a crucial goal research. Most research has focused on the effects plant growth, and less seed germination seedling growth. This study evaluated biostimulatory mugwort extract growth several vegetable crops (onion, carrot, tomato, rapeseed, cauliflower lettuce), order test its application as biostimulant. phenolic acid composition acids’ rankings were: homovanillic > gentisic gallic caffeic = chlorogenic salicylic syringic p/m-coumaric ferulic synaptic p-hydroxybenzoic. (at 0.2, 0.4, 0.8, 1.56, 3.13, 6.25 12.5 % w/v concentrations) was analyzed using Petri dish bioassays, quantifying stimulatory radicle hypocotyl length seedlings, according hormetic log-logistic models. not able biostimulate all tested species. Seed stimulated carrot (+70%) rapeseed (+11%), while other species, no (i.e., onion, tomato lettuce) or inhibition cauliflower) were observed. Hypocotyl stimulation observed species except mainly inhibited by extract, (+30%). biostimulation seem “specie specific” “part specific”, need further investigated terms involved substances physiological aspects, although phytohormone activity certainly involved.

Microgreens are a new functional food crop that can facilitate adaptation to urbanization and global climate change, improve human health. The research was carried out in 2021 at the Department of Landscape Architecture Kuzbass State Agricultural Academy. aim study technology cultivation microgreens Brassicaceae family on an aqueous substrate. objects were seeds cultivated plants family: Brassica oleracea Broccoli Group broccoli or asparagus, Fortuna, Raphanus sativus radish, Violetta, Lepidium sativum, watercress, Dansky, Eruca versicaria, arugula, Sicily. It revealed be obtained from 6-12 days. Such product does not have time accumulate harmful substances atmosphere short period time. When growing microgreens, it is necessary use mineral fertilizers, pesticides and, thus, possible obtain environmentally friendly, biologically useful products with low material costs. found that, depending studied crops their genotype, cycle lasts 6 10 days after germination. Depending type culture, sprouts reached height 5-10 cm. laboratory germination rate 96-98%.

The current review investigates the effects of microgreens on human health and their use in different food items. In recent decades, various extraction methods, such as cold pressing, supercritical CO2 extraction, microwave-assisted liquid gas chromatography, hydro-distillation method, Soxhlet alcohol steam distillation, accelerated solvent have been used for under optimal conditions. Microgreens contain essential bioactive compounds which work functional foods because these are produced cut down before ripening. Since tiny cotyledons pulses, grains, vegetable seeds, they possess nutritional profile than whole one contains fatty acids, major is linoleic acid important antioxidant enzymes like glucoraphanin signals antioxidants, glucosinolates, isothiocyanates, anthocyanins, ascorbate peroxidase, catalase, superoxide dismutase, peroxidase against inflammation oxidative stress so chronic diseases hypertension, cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, cancer. Many clinical experimental studies indicated that species fenugreek, brassica, black mustard, mung beans, green peas, red cabbage, broccoli can be to reduce risk metabolic disorders, goiter, kidney other illnesses. This focuses microgreen techniques, practical applications industry, properties.
