Abstract This review aims to investigate the impacts of continuous cropping on edible fungi, exploring mechanisms obstacles (CCOs) and evaluating strategies mitigate these effects. Research for this involved comprehensive literature analysis focusing studies effects fungi. Key databases were searched relevant articles, information regarding CCOs mitigation was synthesized. Continuous significantly affects fungi by impeding mycelial growth, increasing disease incidence in fruiting bodies, reducing land use efficiency compromising yield harvest quality. Strategies such as soil amendments, crop rotation intercropping are effective approaches alleviate impacts, primarily enhancing quality microbial diversity. Addressing obstacle (CCO) mushroom production requires a strategy, improving through diversified cultivation varieties, improved methods community structure. Future research should prioritize further understanding CCO mechanism, interaction between bacteria viruses, well gene expression changes under obstacles, ensure sustainable growing soil.
