In recent years, plantations of Aquilaria sinensis in China have been dominated by Qi-nan, yet there remains limited research on the growth evaluation and breeding these clones. this study, a multi-point joint variance analysis, an additive main effect multiplicative interaction (AMMI) model, weighted average absolute scores (WAASB) stability index, genotype plus genotype-by-environment (GGE) biplot were used to comprehensively analyze yield, stability, suitable environment 25 3-year-old Qi-Nan clones from five sites southern China. The results showed that all traits exhibited significant differences clones, test sites, interactions between sites. phenotypic variation coefficient (PCV) genetic (GCV) clones’ at different ranged 16.56% 32.09% 5.24% 27.06%, respectively, showing moderate variation. medium–high repeatability (R) tree height ground diameter 0.50 0.96 0.69 0.98, respectively. The high yield potential and stability of hybrid japonica rice varieties are crucial for sustainable agricultural development food security. Rice must undergo rigorous testing through multi-site regional trials before being introduced to the market in China. assessment these is essential guiding breeding. In this study, we evaluated performance 13 genotypes (g1–g13) across six trial sites (e1–e6) Jiangsu province, Variance analysis revealed that genotype (G), environment (E), genotype-by-environment (G × E) interactions significantly influenced varieties. effects G E on tested were further analyzed using Genotype plus Genotype-by-Environment interaction (GGE) biplot additive main multiplicative (AMMI) model analyses. results reveal Zhegengyou2035 (g4) Changyou20-2 (g3) exhibited superior stability, while Huazhongyou9413 (g12) broad adaptability. Additionally, discrimination representativeness among Wujin Research Institute (e6) served as an optimal location. Our findings identify most suitable area assess their initial material selection processes breeding new work contributes strategic locations.

Lodging is a key factor affecting maize yield and harvestability. This study utilized Reid population baselines their improved lines as female parents No-Reid male to form 48 incomplete diallel crosses. The genetic improvement effects, combining ability, heterosis of three lodging resistance-related traits (stem tension, puncture strength, crushing strength at the third internode) were analyzed. Regarding improvement, results indicated that all significantly in compared baselines, with improvements increasing each round. Combining ability analysis showed positive general (GCA) effects for J133A, JM25, JM115, JM1895 traits, higher GCA values than first-round lines. Heterosis revealed highest advantages combinations J133A × JM115 tension), JM25 (crushing strength), J1865 (puncture strength). These findings suggest along JM1895, not only possess strong resistance but also exhibit high potential cross offering new materials varieties mechanization.
